The Orionids peak October 21–22 🌠
Expect up to 20 meteors/hour under ideal conditions. These fast meteors come from debris left by Halley’s Comet and can leave bright trails behind them. ☄️
The shower is visible from both hemispheres and is best watched from midnight until dawn. This year, moonlight may interfere earlier in the night, so start observing when the Moon is already setting in your location.
No telescope needed — just find a dark spot and look up.
