@Not_Firestine Just watched War Machine on Netflix. Formulaic, but also full of sentimental heart. I kinda dig it.
But, the plot involves an Army Ranger selection program. Have you seen it, and if so can you comment on whether it is realistic in any way? Curious civi. TYFYS. 😉
We don’t yet know what motivated the person who shot and killed Charlie Kirk, but this kind of despicable violence has no place in our democracy. Michelle and I will be praying for Charlie’s family tonight, especially his wife Erika and their two young children.
The answer we need but what no one wants is to clearly identify instrumental convergences which enable the perverse incentives that you’re talking about.
SOME of this is necessary to be “fruitful and multiply”, but we must parse the good from the evil.

I think, based on historical precedent, that processes would be put in place to ensure such systems don’t rise again. At least there would be an attempt to forestall them. Right now, it is not even openly conceded, or widely known, that massive, intergenerational corruption and crime families are large players on the world stage.
What would the world look like if it were common knowledge that this is how the world operates, if nothing is done to stop it?
@lsanger I care about, in this order:
1. Immediate safety/security.
2. Long-term stability.
3. Gainful employment.
4. Random gratifying news stories that don’t impact my life directly.
Trump hase done more to fight sex trafficking than ANY US politicians ever. But, he has priorities!
@lsanger I’ve been doing an exhaustive reading of Genesis, and it has become apparent that the flood was not to punish the whole of mankind, but to specifically to eliminate the wicked lineage of Adam.
He killed off His special project to protect the rest of the world from it. That’s love
Sorry, bro. We need to dominate nuclear. Solar and batteries are a minor supplement, at best a modest short-term backup, not a substitute for high capacity high reliability power production.
If the choice is between modern nuclear and solar, the GREEN choice is ALL NUCLEAR.
@TonyClimate@TomANelson I highly agree with the study!
In dystopian or scarcity situations, no one will put up with what isn’t objectively beneficial to the whole.
They sure as 💩 better hope society stays comfortable enough to let them be!
Maybe get governments to permit more nuclear! ☢️
@lsanger The reason I chose B is not in denial that God formed Adam as a way to directly interface with His creation, or that He protected the Hebrews when they ensured His word was shared to the world.
It’s that all of us who honor God and keep His commandments are the “chosen nation”.
@Bellamari8mazz@BenSwann_@356cargirl That’s not entirely true.
Politicians never intended to “run the country” in any successful way. 🤷♂️
But they ARE very effective at running scams on people, which is the real draw.
@ToolManTimLWC @Alphafox78 Frankly, it’s safer for everyone involved.
All Hollywood movies make it seem like if a laser dot is on you all the violence stops and they try to resolve their issue with words.
By their own liberal rules, if all weapons have laser pointers, no one would ever shoot bullets!
@insane_voice@DawnTJ90 All the offshore windmills is the self-fulfilling proof the environmentalists need.
It’s like starting a fire on purpose and then blaming it on arson. Of course it is because you’re the one who did it!
@DawnTJ90 All that carbon he released! It would have been more considerate if he buried himself alive to trap as much of it underground as possible.
But it isn’t really about reducing carbon emissions to save the planet, is it? 🤔
