@GarshytHoel I feel this way about Japan, although frankly, to the extent I'm able to clearly define the 'American' and 'Japanese' approach to something, I'm not sure there's a lot about the Japanese approach to being an adult I favor.

@GarshytHoel You don't need to get into specifics, but I'm genuinely interested to know what you're referring to. I have a strong suspicion I'm largely in agreement, but I do believe that what 'serves' us as adults has to at least partially include things we associate with childishness.

@JoshuaKGoldberg How soft we talking and do you already take a blanching approach? I do a 6 - 7 min boil and immediately submerge them in ice water after removal from water. I very consistently can remove the shell with ease.

Be warned that flying @JetBlue basic economy does NOT allow a carry on. Having flown away from home with @Delta , which reasonably allows each flyer a carry on, I am now stuck with upgrading my seat. a $700 seat should come with a carry on allowance.
