Belief.
I didn’t have it this week.
Told my partner @IrenaCronin that I am struggling to figure out what I should do.
My agents that build https://t.co/8L5xphk0qQ were misbehaving. @digg was kicking their ass. Had thoughts of giving up. Things weren’t working. I was burned out, didn’t feel like had any vision. A guy told me I was an idiot. I thought he might be right.
Other founders have told me about their days going through self doubt. Airbnb’s founders told me their business didn’t work for 1,000 days. Things got so bad they had to eat the cereal they bought for a marketing gag. I was blessed to interview them years ago: https://t.co/wDm9BrR90P
But I was walking through one of San Francisco’s startup coworking facilities when we saw a group that looked like they were getting a tour.
It turned out to be a group of entrepreneurs visiting from India.
The guy running the group saw me and said “it can’t be.” Said “are you Scoble?”
He then told the group that I had a huge impact on his life and had been reading me for 20 years. Asked the group if anyone else read me. A bunch of hands went to and several said they were entrepreneurs in part because of me.
I cried on the way home.
I was just watching American Idol, which I didn’t have time to watch live. And am crying again. Thinking of that praise and requests to take selfies together.
I now get why so many have told me over the years that I wouldn’t get the struggle until I tried to build my own company.
And I am humbled that a couple who were kids decades ago in India read me and dreamed of starting a company.
Belief is such an important part of starting a company.
Woz’s bosses told him that no one would buy a personal computer. He told me that story a few times. That they turned down his requests five separate times.
I wish everyone could get their belief recharged that way.
It is why I try to have a nice word for everyone. When I fail it causes me major turmoil. And my wife gives me heck “don’t be yelling at anyone” after I get in an argument in spaces.
Build a better future. It isn’t easy. You have to fight those voices in your head and many others telling you it isn’t possible.
We’d like to wish Head Physiotherapist Paul Carter the very best for the future, as he departs the club this summer.
Paul’s time with the club spans nearly a decade across two spells, and we can’t thank him enough for his time and commitment to the club.
Visited @CleevelyEv in Cheltenham and made very welcome by Matt, John and Dave. Did the first service of 200k Tesla S bought at trade auction by Jonny Smith @LateBrakeShow. Best for EVs.
I ended up my night in the parking lot of @UnpluggedTesla in Fremont hanging out with Tesla fans from all over the world, who were here in Silicon Valley for the final event on the S and X lines that are now closed to make way for making Optimus. These are people I talk with every night in audio spaces here on X.
They trickled away and left me in the parking lot talking to an Apple employee.
“You are committing a fireable offense just by talking to me.”
(Been told the rules by many).
“I know,” he answered.
Then we talked about a few things that I will take to my grave.
But we talked about its new CEO.
Isn’t a politician. Is an engineer. And understands 3D computing.
It makes me want to buy more Apple stock. New Siri coming next month should be nice for consumers. It doesn’t have a chance with people who are using AI agents, let’s be honest.
It does it? If it opened up its platforms and bought @NousResearch to include Hermes in its ecosystem developers would be won over. Hermes is what most are running on Mac Minis.
Separately If Apple came out with Formula 1 glasses I would immediately buy.
And so would many rich people. Such a thing would cause many to forget about the Vision Pro. Or other VR competitors. Formula 1 is the ultimate rich person’s cult.
I studied the most expensive seats at Abu Dhabi’s Formula 1 track.
You can’t see most of the track.
Glasses could provide a far better experience. The tech is close.
The autonomous racing league in Abu Dhabi @A2RLeague has it all ready for the Apple Vision Pro (they are the innovators working in Formula 1 and 2 racing). It is so much better an experience. But would be very minor to get running in a pair of glasses that are soon coming to market like the @XREAL_Global’s that all the influencers saw at Google I/O this week.
I have studied the Formula 2 fan and have concluded that everyone who is into Formula 1 will want a pair. Like you can see the whole track.
Apple has an exclusive on Formula 1.
The question is do the marketers and strategists and executives at Apple understand this?
We will find out over next four years.
What a great night: got many insights that will pay off for years.
@CleevelyEV@RitualCoffee@LateBrakeShow Passing Cheltenham so called in to CleevelyEv to meet Matt, John and David featured on Jonny Smith’s £5k Tesla S YouTube. Best hash browns across the road at Ritual Coffee brunch. Enjoy.

I bet you haven’t heard Woz tell you about computing history.
30 minutes of Apple cofounder Woz giving a tour around the @ComputerHistory Museum. This is my camera work.
Only 1,800 views. It is stunning how few people care about computing history.
Happy 50th birthday Apple!
