On June 4, the world marks 37 years since the Chinese Communist Party ordered its troops to attack thousands of peaceful demonstrators in and around Tiananmen Square. Those who sacrificed to uphold their unalienable rights of free expression and peaceful assembly will be vindicated someday.
@saber_k086 The people have (very clearly) spoken. Kick Jang Dong-hyuk out, cut off the Yoon Again faction completely, and invest in Oh Se-hoon to build him up for the next presidency.
The Moon Jae-in faction isn't really radical, they're just incompetent. The only reason why they became such a massive influence within the DPK in the first place was because of a mix of guilt and nostalgia people had for the era of President Roh Moo-hyun.
Now it's just nature taking it's course and the party becoming more pragmatic.
@ParanoidFound And paradoxically they're very pro-censorship, pro-suppression, and anti-democracy.
The Undongkwon share many similarities with their military oppressors than they realize.
The chances of Oh Se-hoon becoming the next President of the Republic of Korea just increased exponentially.
He is, without a doubt, the face of the PPP and the Korean conservative movement now. Wishing him the best of luck!
@HooverInst Lmao 😂 why is the Hoover Institution's official account following a Japanese AV page bruh.
I admire the bravery but I also have some questions.
The fact that some polling stations in Seoul actually "ran out of ballot paper" is outrageous.
The National Election Commission said that the reason for this was because "the turnout was higher than expected"
What a stupid, third-world excuse.
Free and secure elections are the basis of a functioning democracy. As the body responsible for overseeing all elections, the NEC has a duty to maintain the fairness and credibility of the electoral process.
However the actions of the NEC are undermining public trust on elections. The criminal levels of incompetency shown by the NEC in recent elections should not be tolerated any further.
Significant measures, however drastic they may be, must be taken to punish those responsible and reform the NEC. If that requires effectively dismantling the entire organization and rebuilding it again, then so be it.
@saber_k086 Oh Se-hoon's political career depends on this election result.
If he manages to keep Seoul, his chances of becoming our next President skyrockets.

News Report:
A Russian drone hit an apartment building in Romania, causing no casualties but injuring two.
The strike drew swift condemnation from the European Union and NATO, with US Ambassador to NATO Matthew Whitaker calling the strike a "reckless incursion."
Meanwhile, Romania is urging its allies to help with its anti-drone defenses, tapping into growing concerns that Russia's war in Ukraine could spill deeper into the continent.
The drone hit the roof of a building in Galati, near the border in Ukraine, a Romanian defense ministry spokesperson told CNN.
Galati sits on the border of Ukraine in Romania's far southeast. Just across the border lies Izmail, home to the largest Ukrainian port on the river Danube and a frequent target of Russian attacks.
Ukraine's Minister of Foreign Affairs Andriy Sybiha said the incident "proved once again that Russian aggression poses a real threat to the Black Sea region and the entire Europe."

The NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte, has said the alliance is "ready to defend every inch" of its territory after the drone attack.
France's foreign minister also denounced the incident. "I want to condemn this irresponsible act by Russia," Jean-Noël Barrot told the broadcaster of France Inter, adding that the drone had struck "a country of the European Union and a NATO country".
The European Commission President, Ursula von der Leyen, said Russia's "war of aggression has crossed yet another line". "We stand in full solidarity with Romania and its people," she wrote in social media. "As we continue strengthening our security and deterrence, especially on our Eastern border, we will keep increasing the pressure on Russia."
António Guterres, Secretary-General of the UN, called for greater diplomacy, immediate de-escalation and "a full and unconditional ceasefire", warning of "unknown and unintended consequences" from the escalation and intensification of attacks.

Personal Two-Cents:
Russia is a warmongering pariah state. Not only have they devastated Ukraine, but now they threaten the very safety of eastern Europe—countries that the EU and NATO are supposed to be protecting! Strongly-worded statements are clearly not enough. They need to be followed up with action! Give Ukraine and the Eastern Bloc what they need to thwart the Russian threat!
