@phillyrich1@beachhawk874@JonahDispatch And the Strait? How do we get that back now? We've proven we have no resolve, that our threats mean nothing. We keep bombing the and they keep attacking ships in Hormuz. How do we return global shipping back to normal now that Trump has fucked it all up?
@pdmcleod Remember the "shitty men in media" list? Guys had their careers ruined because anonymous women added their name to a black list. If you questioned it, you were told to "believe women." I'm sure a lot of those guys were shitty, but many of them had just pissed off the wrong gal.
@pdmcleod And your characterization of it doesn't make much sense. We were told not to question a woman who claims she was assaulted. If a woman made a claim and you asked for evidence, you were told to "believe women." The "all" was implicit.
@AliceFromQueens@Jccitizen23 The left's definition of Nazi is extremely loose when they apply it to people the right. Not so much when it's one of their own. Any single one of the Platner revelations would be seen as disqualifying by Dems if he was GOP candidate.
@AliceFromQueens@Jccitizen23 And let's be real. If it was a Republican candidate with the Nazi tattoo, nobody on the left would buy for a second that it was a youthful mistake and not reflective of his worldview.
@AliceFromQueens@Jccitizen23 He kept the tattoo until it became common knowledge and expects us to believe he never knew what it was, despite evidence that he clearly did. It shows he was comfortable sporting a Nazi tattoo well into adulthood, up until it hurt him politically.
@AliceFromQueens@Jccitizen23 And it's a particularly weird choice for the left to so enthusiastically hang this albatross around their necks, given that there's a perfectly acceptable Dem candidate running and that Platner will prob lose in the general anyway.
@AliceFromQueens@Jccitizen23 Well, he talks about wanting to go to war so he can kill people. He and his buddies form a death squad, adopt a nazi symbol and all get tattoos. I suppose he doesn't technically believe in German National Socialist ideas, but he's a violent shitbag.
@pdmcleod@mtracey@robbysoave What, in your mind, did "believe woman" mean, if not "never question the veracity of any woman's claim?" Was there an implied "occasionally" or "if she seems trustworthy" addendum to the slogan?
@mtracey@robbysoave The "Believe Women" mantra was ubiquitous. Anyone who dared question the veracity of ANY woman's claim that she'd been sexually harassed, abused or assaulted was treated as a social pariah. Soave himself was a target of such treatment when he questioned the UVA rape story.
