Our redeveloped Your Community Hub and Darebin Men’s Shed at our Wulempuri Barring (East Reservoir) health centre is officially open! The indigenous name; Bagung Kertheba Dhumba translates to 'gather together yarn'.

A HUGE thank you to all who joined us; community members, volunteers and staff. With special thanks to @nathanlambertmp, @sheenawattmp, @susannenewton @CityofDarebin and @VicGovDH for their continued support and recognition of the crucial services we provide to the community.

This space will continue to foster connections and belonging in our community for many years to come. The project was made possible by the Victorian Health Building Authority through their Metropolitan Health Infrastructure Fund (MIHF).

@YourCH_org CEO Kent Burgess partnered with colleagues from @MerriHealth and Inspiro Health as a part of the @Commhealthfirst initiative to meet with our parliamentary representatives to discuss the #communityhealth sector’s positive impact on the health of the entire Victorian community.

Community health can further reduce demand on the hospital system, having a positive impact on the entire Victorian health sector.

In partnership with Department of Energy, Environment and Climate Action, through their EV Charging Stations for Business Fleet program, we are thrilled to share that the installation of 12 charging stations across our three health centres is complete! This is a big step towards a greener, more sustainable future for our organisation and reinforces our commitment to sustainable practices, reducing our carbon footprint, and promoting a cleaner, healthier community.

🔌⚡ The electric charging stations will power our green fleet of electric vehicles - also known as Buzz, Flash, Sparky, Electra, Surge, Watt, Fuse, Volt and Lightning, keeping them charged and ready to go! This is a crucial step in making our climate action goals a reality and contributing to a healthier environment.
