Who do I need to bribe to get an indefinite moratorium on social media pregnancy and pregnancy-adjacent posts?
Better yet, let’s implement good old Microsoft Word find-and-replace where all baby-related news is swapped out for memes from The Office.
I swear if only moms would write their VERY personal letters to their kids on actual paper to give to them as an adult, rather than posting it on social media like some sort of badge this world would be much better.
I don’t need to read, “Dear sweet boy…” but one day he might.
@FiskSjord It’s very frustrating that in general, we are expected to be considerate of kids/people with kids, even to make exceptions for them…but it’s not reciprocated.
I’m trying to sit out on my patio and enjoy a drink while I relax and read before bed. It’s 9:30 pm here.
My neighbors are having a bonfire and roasting marshmallows with their kids, so it’s noisy, but okay, I can deal. We’re all stuck at home and trying to make it fun. Fine.
When Kevin said, “I mean, honestly, the idea of me having kids makes me physically nauseous” on tonight’s episode of #ThisIsUs , I yelped and clapped at my tv in my clean, quiet, #childfree living room. 🤷🏻♀️
The irony that #childfree by choice people are usually the ones who get told they’re selfish, but...this like a selfish reason to have kids there, Pam.
Big assumption too, that they’ll even want to do either of those things for you.
The real reason they discourage MRIs during pregnancy is because then people would realise they’re incubating nightmare demons and would be rightfully terrified
And this is why I will never understand No Pet policies or the insanely high pet rent some places charge.
CHILD rent is what should be a thing.
My dog wouldn’t inflict even the tiniest fraction of this destruction.
I feel for this landlord, oooof.
I do my best to keep my music and noise level low when I’m out on my patio late at night, because I don’t want to to disturb them or their kids if they’re sleeping.
But somehow they don’t have to think of anyone else?
AITA?
Maybe I’m overreacting, but it’s taking everything in me not to go off on them. It’s one thing to deal with this during the holidays where fireworks are common, as the world does not revolve around my dog.
But I see NO reason for this.
What if I told you that we are ALL allowed to be tired or exhausted for ANY reason, not just parents, because our bodies literally require rest?
It’s not a competition, Brenda.
