Kevin Durant says he felt like he was going to an underdog team when he signed with the Warriors:
“They never been a winning organization, Nobody liked Golden State… I'm looking at the totality of the franchise, not what happened the last 5 years.”
The 73-win Warriors entered the Finals as the winningest team in NBA history, while Cleveland carried a 52-year championship drought.
On this day in 2016, Cleveland completed the first 3-1 comeback in NBA Finals history, winning three straight to capture its first championship 🏆
At some point, you have to admit, the conversation isn’t about Bungie and the games they make. It’s how they manage the games they make. Talk about finger off of the pulse
@theereal_one modern marvel completely ruined the hulk just to cater to casual audiences. the raw, aggressive ed norton version would have actually given thanos a real run for his money
I really hope we see a D3. From my perspective it made sense to pivot to its development after Lightfall and wrap D2 after final shape. But I am not Bungie leadership and can’t pretend to know why choices were made.
The stark truth though, is if D3 truly wasn’t in dev at all and they announced intent to make it tomorrow, it would be at soonest 4-5 years before a launch. The level of systems/engine/progression/structure reworks and building that would need to be done to make D3 the successor it would need to be in the CURRENT gaming landscape would IMO be staggering (and worthwhile)
We have identified some issues affecting the progression systems and loot economy and will be rolling out a few fixes:
Cert containers: Fixing an issue causing more Cert containers to spawn than intended in Night Marsh.
Cradle: Given the increased quality and quantity of loot, we've increased progression costs by 25%.
We are also still tracking down more issues and will be adjusting loot drops globally while we investigate. We want loot to feel rewarding, but also not flood the economy with too many powerful items early in the season.
We'll continue to monitor these systems and feedback closely throughout the season.
I take it the God of War team did zero research cuase how do you fuck up this desgin so badly you got a Egyptian God looking more like a Aztec God
I actually thought it was a Aztec God until I saw it was supposed to be Sekhmet
Robert Horry on Wemby:
“I’m not saying he’s not great, he’s a great defensive player, but they trying to make him the be all now. Like he is God’s gift to basketball… Give him time. Let him mature… Don’t give it to him. Let him take it.”

Destiny 2 was not a failure.
Destiny is—was—by all measures, one of the most resounding successes in its field, and its end is a consequence of its management, not the game itself, nor the team and community that propped it up time and time again, or the vision that fueled it.
Destiny was a pioneer of the live-service formula. It was one of the earliest games of the 2010s to try to deliver constant goods, whether they took the form of missions, new loot rewards, or skins, to a console audience.
