There is a tremendous amount of misinformation on the traction of the latest AI darlings

In the last couple of weeks, multiple companies have announced raises that are between 500x-1000x revenue

Countless others with more traction will go unfunded

FBOW, that is the game right now - if you are CONSENSUS, the fundamentals don't matter. If you aren't, you better get profitable or find the right partners.

If you're a VC, rather than griping about the game being "rigged", use it to your advantage

The greatest alpha-generating opportunity is taking something that is non-consenus and making it consensus. If not, have the pockets and patience to reduce reliance on the consensus POV and go your own way.

Each of these strategies requires the courage and conviction to break away from the pack, but therein lies the alpha
