Under the leadership of PM Sh @narendramodi Ji, India’s energy sector, driven by its PSU Maharatnas, is anchoring the nation’s resilient journey towards energy security by ensuring affordable supplies and stabilising markets amid ongoing global crises.
As responsible corporate citizens, India’s OMCs have borne the brunt of global disruptions by absorbing losses, sustaining energy imports and ensuring uninterrupted fuel supplies to citizens. Not a single retail outlet ran dry.
By keeping fuels prices steady despite mounting costs, OMCs like @IndianOilcl have shielded millions of citizens from the full impact of global shocks. They have effectively cushioned consumers from supply-chain disruptions arising from the situation around the Strait of Hormuz.
With 42,818 retail outlets and over 2,600 CNG stations, IndianOil continues to expand energy access across India. It has invested more than ₹30,000 crore annually over the past five years to strengthen the nation’s energy infrastructure, while maintaining financial discipline.

My thanks to Shri @NayabSainiBJP ji, Hon’ble Chief Minister of Haryana and my dear colleague in council of ministers, Shri @Rao_InderjitS ji, for their support and encouragement towards the MoUs signed between OIL Green Energy Limited, the wholly owned subsidiary of @OilIndiaLimited, one of our Maharatna CPSEs and four Municipalities of Haryana — Gurugram, Faridabad, Hisar and Ambala — for setting up Integrated CBG and Waste-to-Energy projects across the respective clusters.
The four projects will scientifically process 5,000 tonnes of municipal solid waste per day to produce an estimated 70–75 TPD of Compressed Biogas (CBG) along with 50 MW of green power.
Aligned with the GOBARdhan scheme of 2026 as per the vision of Hon’ble Prime Minister Shri @narendramodi ji, these projects will further the objectives of #SwachhBharat and #WasteToWealth while providing impetus to India’s transition towards a gas-based and circular economy.
By converting the wet biodegradable fraction of municipal waste into CBG and the non-recyclable dry fraction into green power, the initiative demonstrates how scientific waste management can contribute simultaneously to cleaner cities, indigenous clean energy and resource recovery at scale.

In the 137th edition of #MannKiBaat, PM Sh @narendramodi Ji once again highlighted inspiring grassroots stories, citizen-led initiatives and the power of positive public participation in nation-building.
He spoke about youth empowerment, the collective resolve for a Nasha Mukt Bharat, India’s rich heritage, and innovation and entrepreneurship across rural and urban India, while emphasising how technology can help preserve and bring our history closer to the people and the spirit of Jan Bhagidari.
This spirit is also reflected in the journey of the visionary PM SVANidhi Scheme which has emerged as a powerful instrument of financial inclusion, providing street vendors with affordable working-capital loans, digital opportunities and greater financial dignity.
With nearly 46% of beneficiaries, of which around 35 lakh being women, the scheme has become an important enabler of women-led development.
It helps mothers and sisters grow their businesses, strengthen their families and build greater confidence and financial independence.
Launched in June 2020, PM SVANidhi is not just supporting livelihoods, but nurturing inclusive, dignified and empowered growth.

When six yards of fabric became the distance between danger and life.
Among the many extraordinary details in this story of survival near the Nepal–Tibet border, one stayed with me.
As floodwaters and falling boulders engulfed the mountain road, a group of mostly older pilgrims scrambled up a steep, mud-slicked embankment. Poongodi, having reached the top, removed her saree and lowered it to those struggling below. One by one, they held on and climbed. When one woman could go no further, the saree was tied around her waist and the others pulled her to safety.
Having written #TheSariEternal , I found the story profoundly moving.
The saree has never been merely six yards of fabric. It carries memory, identity, resourcefulness and the quiet resilience of generations of Indian women. It has accompanied us through celebration and grief, ritual and everyday life, constantly adapting while remaining unmistakably itself.
And on that mountainside, its symbolism became startlingly real.
The saree became a rope, a bond, a means of rescue — quite literally a thread connecting one human being to another.
Perhaps that is what makes the saree eternal: not simply that it has endured through centuries, but that in every age, and in the most unexpected moments, it continues to become what life asks of it.
Six yards. A human chain. A timeless symbol of strength transformed into a lifeline.
Happy to meet Amb. Dr. K. Srikar Reddy Ji, with whom I’ve had the opportunity of working during my tenure in the Ministry of Commerce between 2019-2021. It is wonderful to see him take on his new responsibility as India’s Ambassador to Qatar.

The 20-year LNG agreement between Petronet LNG and QatarEnergy, securing 7.5 million tonnes of LNG annually from 2028 to 2048, is a landmark achievement in our energy partnership and an important pillar of India’s long-term energy security.

कभी बैंक खाता होना भी एक privilege माना जाता था। आज जन-धन ने इस सोच को बदल दिया है।
प्रधानमंत्री श्री @narendramodi जी के नेतृत्व में जन-धन सिर्फ़ बैंक खाता नहीं, करोड़ों भारतीयों की financial identity और आर्थिक सशक्तिकरण का माध्यम बन गया है।
2015 में 14.7 करोड़ जन-धन खातों से शुरू हुई वित्तीय समावेशन की यह यात्रा 2026 में बढ़कर 59 करोड़ खातों तक पहुँच चुकी है।
और सबसे खास बात, इस बदलाव में महिलाओं की भागीदारी भी मजबूत हुई है। आज करीब 33 करोड़ महिलाएँ जन-धन खातों से जुड़ी हैं, जो कुल खाताधारकों का 56% हैं।
यानी बैंकिंग अब सिर्फ़ शहरों या चुनिंदा लोगों तक सीमित नहीं रही, आम आदमी से लेकर ग्रामीण परिवारों और महिलाओं तक, वित्तीय व्यवस्था की पहुँच आखिरी छोर तक पहुँची है।

समुद्र मंथन: समुद्र की गहराइयों से ऊर्जा आत्मनिर्भरता के अमृत की तलाश !
भारत के पास 20 लाख वर्ग किलोमीटर+ का Exclusive Economic Zone (EEZ) है, जिसके भीतर ऊर्जा संसाधनों की अपार संभावनाएँ मौजूद हैं।
बावजूद इसके हर साल भारत को बड़ी मात्रा में कच्चा तेल विदेशों से आयात करना पड़ता है।
क्योंकि लंबे समय तक करीब 10 लाख वर्ग किलोमीटर समुद्री क्षेत्र ‘No-Go’ रहा।
अब PM @narendramodi जी के नेतृत्व में सोच भी बदली है और दिशा भी।
करीब 99% No-Go क्षेत्र को Exploration के लिए खोला गया और अब भारत के ऊर्जा क्षेत्र में परिवर्तनकारी अध्याय लिखने जा रहे ₹84,084 करोड़ के ‘समुद्र मंथन’ मिशन के जरिए offshore oil & gas exploration को नई गति दी जाएगी।
इस मिशन का लक्ष्य 600 मिलियन मीट्रिक टन से अधिक oil equivalent को भारत के hydrocarbon reserves में जोड़ना है।
आज भारत करीब 62 MMT सालाना domestic oil & gas production से आगे बढ़कर 80 MMT के लक्ष्य की ओर बढ़ रहा है।
हमारी पौराणिक परंपरा में समुद्र मंथन से अमृत निकला था।
आज का ‘समुद्र मंथन’ 21वीं सदी के भारत के लिए ऊर्जा आत्मनिर्भरता का अमृत खोजेगा।

In a significant step towards further strengthening India’s unprecedented journey towards energy security and boosting domestic production of hydrocarbons under the dynamic leadership of PM Sh @narendramodi Ji, the first commercial hydrocarbon discovery by @ONGC_ in the Bengal Basin at Ashoknagar has moved a decisive step closer to monetisation.
In less than three months since the spudding of development well AS-1Z on 30 May 2026, ONGC successfully established the flow potential of light, high-quality crude oil.
The maiden consignment of crude oil from the field was flagged off today for transportation to @IndianOilcl’s Haldia Refinery in the presence of Ashoknagar MLA Dr. Sumay Hira Ji by Director- Exploration of the energy Maharatna.
Years of exploration and perseverance are now translating into production potential, placing West Bengal firmly on India’s hydrocarbon map as the state progresses under the leadership of CM Sh @SuvenduBJP Ji.

On his Jayanti, I pay tribute to the legendary Major Dhyan Chand Ji, the ‘Wizard of Hockey’ and one of the greatest and most inspirational sportspersons the world has seen. His extraordinary skill and unparalleled contribution to Indian hockey are remembered to this day and continue to inspire generations of athletes.
On #NationalSportsDay, celebrated in honour of his legacy, I extend my warm greetings and best wishes to all our sportspersons, coaches and champions who bring pride and glory to our nation.
May the spirit of sportsmanship, determination and excellence inspire our youth to dream bigger, strive harder and make India proud, as they carry forward the legacy of those who took to the field before them.
For more than a decade now, under the guidance of PM Sh @narendramodi Ji, there has been a concerted effort to build India into a strong sporting nation. This commitment is reflected in the consistently improving medal tallies of Indian contingents at major international tournaments and sporting events.
Promising young athletes today have greater support to pursue their sporting careers, with an enabling ecosystem that provides funding, quality training and coaching, along with support in areas such as nutrition and sports science.
As more young Indians take up different sports, including disciplines that were once unfamiliar to many of us, they are stepping onto the world stage with confidence and competing successfully at the highest levels. In doing so, they are expanding our idea of what Indian sport can achieve and inspiring many more young people to dream bigger.
The India of today is not just producing more champions; it is creating an environment in which many more young Indians can aspire to become one.
