VIDEO | Delhi Jantar Mantar protest: CJP spokesperson Ashutosh Ranka, says, "We were continuously appealing Sonam Wangchuk to end his hunger strike. It's been 27 days and his health has been deteriorating. We are very proud that Sonam ji has got two of our conditional demands approved by the government. We will not be subjected to any kind of legal action and we will get adequate compensation. The written details are yet to come, but Sonam ji has ended his hunger strike. We want to make it clear that this hunger strike will continue until the resignation of Dharmendra Pradhan. The resignation of Dharmendra Pradhan is the starting point of this hunger strike. We will not back down until Dharmendra Pradhan resigns."

Just now in the presence of Union Ministers Sh. JP Nadda, Dr. Jitendra Singh and the senior leaders of Apex Body of Leh Ladakh I finally broke my fast after 26 days. Earlier 65 members of parliament from different political parties had visited or signed letters urging me to break the fast. This was done after long negotiations on various conditions and in view of possible violence in the country. I will explain the conditions in detail in a separate video very soon. Meanwhile I urge you all to stay very vigillant about not allowing violence of any kind anywhere.
