Well, that escalated quickly.
There’s been a wave of claims by cheaters about Vanguard “bricking” their PCs, so let’s clear that up: Vanguard does not damage hardware or disable your devices.
The photo we posted is a picture of cheat hardware devices that are sold explicitly for cheating in VALORANT (not normal PCs or PC components). Through our latest updates, Vanguard now makes those devices worthless for VAL, but does not in any way brick PCs or PC components or PC software.
Our latest update enforces standard platform security features, like the Input-Output Memory Management Unit (IOMMU), on accounts identified as using Direct Memory Access (DMA) cheating devices. These protections are already part of modern systems and when enabled, they block DMA cheat devices (such as those shown in the photo) from accessing memory in downstream applications, like our games.
If a cheat setup continues attempting to cheat after those protections are enabled, the system may generate hardware faults or instability. This is expected behavior under IOMMU when attempts are made to read protected memory.
Disabling IOMMU allows the cheat device to function again, but IOMMU will still be required to play our games. This means the cheat device won’t work with our games, but your PC isn’t “bricked.” We would not, and cannot, impact your PC’s functionality in any other fashion.
This functionality only applies to systems attempting to use DMA cheat devices, and players who are not using DMA-based cheat setups are not affected.
We’ll keep investing in anti-cheat to protect competitive integrity, and we’ll keep being as transparent as possible about how those systems work.

For almost twelve years, we have had the joy and honor to explore the Destiny universe with you all. Through all the ups and downs, surprises and triumphs, building Destiny alongside our players has been a monumental privilege. While our love for Destiny 2 has not changed, it has become clear that after The Final Shape, we have reached the time for our shared worlds, and Destiny, to live beyond Destiny 2.
As our focus turns towards a new beginning for Bungie, we will begin work incubating our next games. To that end, on June 9, 2026, we will release the final live-service content update for Destiny 2 to begin that new journey as a studio.
Though active development may be concluding, we will ensure that Destiny 2 remains playable, just as the original Destiny is today. Many changes in this final update will aim to ensure that Destiny 2 is a welcoming place for players to return to.
We’re proud of Destiny 2, the places it took us, and the legacy it has created. Because of you all, our universe is vast, built on years of shared stories, adventures, and victories. From the Cosmodrome to the Pale Heart to the Lawless Frontier, we have forged life-long memories and friendships with you all.
We are incredibly grateful to everyone who made that journey with us.
From the deepest part of our hearts, thank you, and we'll see you in the stars.
Okay, so because people are being dumb, I will explain the problem of Haranir etiologies due to in-universe contradictions between them being dark trolls vs night elves and the timeline of the events
It’s been a week since we announced Divinity, our next RPG, and a lot has become lost in translation.
Larian’s DNA is agency. Everything we work towards is to the benefit of our teams, games, and players. A better work day, and a better game. Our successes come from empowering people to work in their own way and bring the best out of their skill & craft, so that we can make the best RPGs we can possibly make.
In that context, it would be irresponsible for us not to evaluate new technologies. However, our processes are always evolving, and where they are not efficient or fail to align with who we are, we will make changes.
To give you more insight, we’ll do an AMA featuring our different departments after the holiday break, in which you’ll get the opportunity to ask us any questions you have about Divinity and our dev process directly.
We’ll announce the date in the new year. In the meantime, I wish you all happy holidays!
In 1999, I was assigned to design the expansion pack to Age of Empires 2. I chose The Conquerors as the theme, and wishing to have 4 civs (as we had on Rise of Rome), I chose the Spanish, the Aztecs, the Huns, and the Mayans.
The project went ahead extremely well. We were almost completely finished, 5 weeks ahead of schedule as of January 2000. I was excited to move onto Age of Empires 3.
Then Microsoft called and we had an important conference call.

this isn't the first time that CrowdStrike's csagent.sys kernel driver has caused Windows BSODs. I'd imagine many executives are waking up this morning and immediately looking at moving away from CrowdStrike. It's very hard to win back trust after an event like this
For all the people currently freaking out about the Once Human Privacy Policy.
The policy states under "Personal Information we receive from you:" that they receive "Name & Contact Details" "Such as first and last name, title, prefix, email address, telephone number, (instant) messaging account, postal address, date of birth, age, gender, country/region, and government-issued ID, such as passport information, as required by applicable laws for age verification and correction of personal information."
The general internet has warped this into a demanded requirement and a privacy issue. It's not. These are only sent to the company when required by applicable local laws. This is why it says "Receive from you" and "as required by applicable laws".
In some countries government issued ID's are required for live service game access. If you are not in one of these countries you obviously are not asked or required to present those documents.
Fearmongering on social media is boring as shit.
I’m making this thread because many people are asking me and to tell you the truth.
As some may know, the team that I appear to be part of, Suaves (former Team Deftfox) was invited to the Apex Championship. But...

Hey Everyone,
Here are some screenshots from our upcoming game Sons Of The Forest.
We had hoped to have the game out this year, but need more time, so it will be early to mid 2022.
Exact date will be announced with our third trailer in the next few weeks.
China's game regulator continues to implement targeted regulations aimed at curbing game addiction among minors
New policy states that minors can only play games for one hour on Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays between 8pm to 9pm.
An extremely restrictive policy.
"Female employees working for the World of Warcraft team noted that male employees and supervisors would hit on them, make derogatory comments about rape, and otherwise engage in demeaning behavior, the agency alleges." https://t.co/96eo7p0IKI
What the heck, Blizzard?
There's less than 8 hours left to transfer over to Pearl Abyss! Any game data that has not been transferred will be PERMANENTLY DELETED after May 31 (23:59 UTC)! 😭
If you haven’t transferred your Black Desert game data, transfer NOW before it's too late: https://t.co/IwlDQ35xTK
