@SistaRuthDOPD Ooop accidentally replied with a vitriallic tweet. If you see that in your notifs please know that I'm calling the genocide deniers the dumbcunts
@WoobMcWoobs@jockie_c Are you going to respond to what I've actually said or just toss out random bullshit? I'm citing a common academic definition of indigenity used because it avoids the pitfalls of arbitrary definitions and you're (I think) presuming things about my background?
@WoobMcWoobs@jockie_c Indigeneity isn't defined by how long a group of people has lived in a place when referring to colonial societies, but by one's relation to the colonial power structure and colonial society. In more concrete terms the indigenous are the ones who are dispossessed by the coloniser.
@georgeofpatmos@itumsocnzfs And also no this isn't "Hassanite" harassment, I fucken hate him. I'm bringing this up because you should be held accountable when you're wrong. My critique is well intentioned if a little strongly worded.
@georgeofpatmos@itumsocnzfs through the erosion of herd immunity. Being anti-genai has no such effect and in fact opposes the harm done to society by the use of genai.
For someone that claims to have principles you really are falling short here.
@georgeofpatmos@itumsocnzfs Especially considering that the climate apocalypse is going to harm third worlders much faster and more drastically, it makes no sense to be in favour of its use.
@georgeofpatmos@itumsocnzfs Yeah nah. You're missing the forest for the trees here, you're right in that using AI materially harms Americans, but that harm isn't confined to Americans. With impending climate doom encouraging people to use energy guzzling generative AI isn't the most principled move.
@SuperealArcDoom@GrayHoodiee to a complete degree. Instead, truly antipatriarchal men need to work on women's terms and align themselves with the goals of feminism while to the greatest degree possible, minimising their social benifits gained from the patriarchy.
@SuperealArcDoom@GrayHoodiee I agree to an extent, I'm simply engaging with the OP's argument on it's own terms. Yes patriarchy does harm men on an individual level, but as a system it is set up to benefit men at the expense of women and one cannot really opt out of this as a man 1/2
@ct5413@GrayHoodiee actively or passively participate in patriarchal power structures. Men who work against patriarchy necessarily align themselves with women and feminism.
@ct5413@GrayHoodiee How does the existence of men presuppose patriarchy. Your assertion is completely bunk of the face of it, as the historical record shows instances of matriarchal societies in many places. The only way your argument works is if you're using "men" to identify people who
1/2
@GrayHoodiee In the same way that individuals born into settler populations can be opposed to settler colonialism or people born into the bourgeoisie can turn against their class interest, people from oppressor groups turning traitor to their fellow oppressors is a good thing
@GrayHoodiee I would argue that even if all men benefited from patriarchy, the ability to recognise that it's an evil system and work counter to your own self interest by opposing it is a positive quality
@cem_uk_ Y'all in the comments have the fucking brain mass of a jellyfish. Genocide is defined in the UN Genocide Convention, for which Israel's actions are a textbook fucking example. Tweets are too short of a medium to explain in full. https://t.co/4lypQqxpx6
@rebels2008@muixyui Most normal people in south africa supported aparhetied. Why the fuck should we give and creedence to normalcy. Also that just means most "normal" people support the genocide inherent to Zionism.
