@TheInfamousRG “Wondrous is the affair of the believer for there is good for him in every matter and this is not the case with anyone except the believer.
If he is happy, he thanks God and thus there is good for him.
And if he is harmed, then he shows patience and thus there is good for him.”
Shah Waliullah al-Dehlawi on the inner dimensions of the zakat: a means to divine mercy, purification of the soul, and protection in this world and the Hereafter
The Prophet ﷺ loved the poor and was close to them to tend to their needs.
An encouragement to personally know people in need of receiving zakat. Someone who is a part of your life, and you a part of theirs.
The legal clarification on zakat in Surah al-Tawbah was revealed to relegate disputes on its distribution and to rebuke the hypocrites after the Expedition of Tabuk when hypocrisy and wealth were increasing. The divine categories of recipients were set to prevent corruption.
Hours of “debating” how to understand Allah’s names and attributes and how to serve Him and approach Him for His mercy and favor, yet left feeling distant from Him and infatuated with the nafs.
Gatherings devoid of barakah. The worst form of ghaflah: that which poses as dhikr.
@TheInfamousRG Amin - much to reflect on in the blessed command of Al-Mustafa ﷺ to stick with the Jama’ah and how du’at will be at the gates of Hell inviting to it, not from within it, posing a more severe threat to a person’s faith and Hereafter due to their mixing of truth with falsehood
The extraordinary peace, contentment, joy, and relief found within believing and expressing: “God knows best” - a treasure from the treasures of the Most Merciful.
Insightful commentary on the narration reported by Imam Ahmad in Al-Zuhd, that the Messiah 'Isa (عليه السلام) said,
"You will never enter the Kingdom of Heaven until you are born twice."
