Community kitchens across Gaza are closing. Free aid is entering only in limited amounts. For countless families, the meal they receive from a community kitchen is the only food they will eat that day. If there is no meal, they go to bed hungry.

This is what life has been reduced to: the deliberate creation of conditions where survival itself becomes a daily struggle. Hunger is not an accident, it’s engineered by the occupation. It is a relentless assault on dignity, health, and hope, forcing families to endure the unimaginable - to aid in the goal of ethnic cleansing.

On June 25, your support allowed The Sameer Project to distribute 365 rice meals to 77 families at Al-Amal (Al-Emadi) Camp, Gaza City. The total was just $574 after commission fees.

One-and-a-half-year-old Essam Al-Nabih weighs only 5 kilograms and suffers from severe malnutrition and hydrocephalus (fluid buildup in the brain), which required the insertion of a shunt to drain excess fluid. He was born during the genocide at a normal weight, but his mother's malnutrition and inability to breastfeed led to a drastic deterioration in his condition. Despite receiving a medical referral for treatment outside Gaza, he remains trapped due to the Israeli siege and closure of Gaza’s border crossings. His family says doctors have informed them that his chances of survival have become extremely slim.

Zaid was killed by an Israeli airstrike at dawn today that targeted a home in the Al-Bureij Refugee Camp in central Gaza.
