I lost of of the best men I ever dated in this my life over malice. We had an issue, 2 weeks, we didn’t speak to each other and I was the champion of that malice. He tried to communicate, I refused, so he left me. By the time I’ve had enough and I called him, so we can talk. He told me he was done, thst he can’t be with a woman that doesn’t love him, that only someone who doesn’t love another can go that long without speaking to their partner. Everywhere first blur. I begged ehnn, firsy guy I ever begged in my life, but the deed was already done. He was a man with a lot of respect for himself, so it didn’t work and it ended.
The biggest rule in a relationship is no matter how mad you are at your partner, you do not go and seek someone else's attention. You sit your ass there and make it right. Because that's your person. If you can easily go to someone else, you do not love the person you are with
Unfortunately, cheating is not the absence of love. Someone can genuinely love you and still cheat on you.
Attraction isn’t something that happens once, with one person, or only once in a lifetime. You will not stop finding other people attractive simply because you are in a committed relationship. Other people will also approach you regardless of your relationship status.
It is sexual discipline and self-control that keep you in check, not love.
You’ll find people who are richer, more attractive, more caring, and more endowed than your partner. And if you lack self-control and sexual discipline, you’ll eventually sleep with one of those people to satisfy your lustful desires.
The difference between a decent person and a promiscuous person is that the former does not always let intrusive thoughts get the better of them.
So yes, you can genuinely be in love with someone and still cheat on them.
Women do so much for men, and they do not often get the credit for it. They show up. They support. They hold things together, often in silence, often without applause.
So many women support their husbands, their boyfriends, their partners emotionally, financially, and in ways that never make it to social media. They are out here building businesses, working 9-5 jobs, thriving in tech, and still coming home to nourish their families. They contribute massively to marriages, to relationships, to the stability of homes that would otherwise collapse.
Even in universities, you hear stories of a young woman using her small pocket money to help her boyfriend, sharing her feeding allowance, buying him textbooks or transport fare.
Many women nurse their sick husbands through long illnesses. They sacrifice their own rest, their own health, their own dreams. They make silent sacrifices that nobody applauds. They hold the family together when the man has fallen apart. They are the unseen pillars.
We see you. Even when some idiots do not. Even when the world forgets to say thank you. Even when your efforts are taken for granted. Good women deserve their flowers while they are still alive to smell them. So here is to every woman who shows up and holds it down without applause. We see you. We appreciate you. And we are grateful❤️.
Women helping their partners through difficulty is strangely looked down upon in modern society.
People romanticise the image of a man saving a woman, but become uncomfortable the moment the dynamic reverses. A woman is constantly advised to protect herself, choose better, avoid carrying a man’s burdens, remain carefree. Meanwhile, men are told that absorbing the weight of the world is simply their responsibility.
But when a man and woman consciously choose each other, reject the transactional logic of society, and decide to remain loyal through instability, suffering, and uncertainty, something far more profound begins to emerge.
That is when two people stop behaving like isolated individuals negotiating benefits, and start becoming a unit.
Because deep down, both people understand that pain is temporary, fortunes change, circumstances collapse and rebuild, strength fluctuates. The only thing that truly matters is the constant, the person who remains.
A partner who punishes you with silent treatment is a very toxic person. Silent treatment is not a cooling off period. It is not needing space to think. It is control. It is punishment. It is emotional manipulation dressed in silence.
For the recipient, silent treatment is almost the same as physical pain. Brain studies have shown that social rejection activates the same neural pathways as physical pain. When someone you love shuts you out without explanation, your brain registers it as a blow. You feel it in your chest. You struggle to sleep. You replay every conversation trying to figure out what you did wrong.
Over time, you begin to doubt your own sanity and your own reality. You question your memory. You question your worth. You start apologising for things you did not do, just to end the silence. That is not love. That is a hostage situation.
A person who uses silent treatment as a weapon is not resolving conflict. They are avoiding it while making you suffer. It is a very wicked, evil thing to do to someone you claim to love.
If you are in a relationship where silence is used to punish you, know this you are not crazy. You are being manipulated. And you deserve someone who will speak to you even when they are angry, because love does not go mute when conflict arrives.
Okay lemme elaborate for the youngins who follow me. Long read but I’ll address how it affects both.
A woman who really likes you is wrapped around your thumb, she’s attuned to your mood; your laughter, frowns, fears etc matter to her sm, she wants you to talk to her, she’s upset by your silent treatment because she GAF, so at first she’s very worried, trying to placate you, but if it becomes “PROLONGED”, she eventually tires out and gets used to it.
That face that lights up at the thought of opening the door to you suddenly stays fixated on her phone no matter how much noise you make when opening the door, she’s literally not even looking at your face anymore, you bang doors, go out at night, make shady calls to make her jealous etc but she’s literally gotten used to it.
She’s not angry or sad, she’s just used to the New Normal. You realize you’ve lost that respect, adulation, excitement and now need to work 10x harder than Vinicius Jr to win it back.
That is why you should not fuck with things or people you don’t want to lose, save your “hardman” & “idgaf” for stuff you actually don’t mind losing.
And oh on your side; prolonged silent treatment increases the likelihood of resentment, the fuel that helps keep your affection burning is no longer there so each day dawns with her nearing “roommate” status in your head.
It’s such a lose-lose endeavor for both parties, I do not recommend. From experience I now recommend talking & quickly resolving things like motherfuckin adults.
For someone whose go-to in domestic chaos, is the silent treatment, I’ll give an unsolicited 2 cents on this.
-• Never go into it if you know within you that there’s room for reconciliation.
-• As the day go longer, the heart genuinely go less fonder of the person.
-• You begin to despise the littlest faults you used to ignore because of love.
-• You get overwhelmed by thoughts of only their shortfalls, tending to forget every good they ever did.
-• The more often you do it, the more you begin to actually hate the person, until you have no more love to give ‘em.
You are welcome.
