Today is the final day without scheduled NFL or Division I football for two straight months. When you wake up Thursday, a stretch of 61 straight days with at least one football game await, until there is nothing on the calendar Dec. 1 or 2.
Tennessee football HC Josh Heupel to Vol fans:
"However you get ready for game time, wake up early and do whatever you need to do to be your best at 12."
Cole Cubelic combines ball knowledge + big game aura + SEC adjacency better than anyone (a super-majority of viewers would agree)
Having him call games with 5TD spreads every week continues to be an inexplicable whiff
NFL Week 1: Will this injured player be ready to go?
College football Week 1: The SEC might kick LSU out, the MAC wants a game overturned, Florida State lost power, pro players are trying to come back
🚨🚨🚨 Hot Take🚨🚨🚨
Watching football is NOT a social event. Going to a tailgate and barely watching the game or going to a watch party at someone's house sounds like actual hell.
A nice quiet house alone or with 1-2 homies LOCKED in is the only way to watch ball.
Cowboys coach Brian Schottenheimer on Joe Milton: “I first remember hearing about Joe Milton when he was at the University of Michigan and everyone applauded him for how hard and how far he could throw the ball. Cool. That’s awesome. Go be in a carnival somewhere. That’s not what playing an NFL quarterback is. It’s not. … You’re throwing through small windows, you’re throwing over people, you’re changing arm slots.
“So to me, arm strength is cool. Go to the fair and win a teddy bear. But you got to play quarterback. And that’s what I think you see Joe learning is he’s playing quarterback. And he’s playing quarterback at a high level. He’s checking the ball down. He’s making blitz adjustments. He’s solving problems. He’s reading from his first, second to third, and even fourth progression at times. It takes time. You don’t stop learning as a quarterback. The only way to do it is to play. I’m really, really proud of him.”
For everyone worried about Faizon Brandon being a first year starter at QB for the Vols...
I am once again here to remind everyone that Josh Heupel's track record with first year starting quarterbacks is pretty damn good.
You could argue that this is the most offensive talent surrounding his QB that he's ever had too.
Two 800 yard receivers, highest ranked WR recruit in program history, first 1,000 yard RB returning in a decade, and a top 3 OL in the SEC.
