Perhaps conservatives could make journalist seem like a cool job.

@_masonrouser Yes! But, it seems a bit different. I think it would be hard not to see conflict in this coverage BUT that conflict is much more pronounced between protesters, instead of with the police. So i guess a shifted paradigm?

@HaydenM349 This is hard! At some level journalists should remain unbiased and "stick to the facts," but when "the facts" are that one person is lying, to such an extent that it threatens democracy, journalists shouldn't promote that narrative, whether that counts as "advocacy" or not.

@HaydenM349 The media must be pro-democracy or they risk promoting lies from GOP candidates—Trump, DeSantis, Ramaswamy—all of whom are currently peddling lies in their campaigns. Ensuring readers read truth, instead of whatever trump says, will preserve democracy in 2024.

@smackbunnybaby Algorithms bring what WE are most interested to the top of our feeds. That means on social media individuals consume stories they’re already interested in, rather than stories outside their immediate passions.

@RyanCerna2 I imagine there will be a greater reliance on podcasts for news to fit into our busy daily schedules AND a growth of news sources, like Axios, which prioritize distilling the most important facts in the most digestible way.
