The good:
- Seeing the city come over the horizon is excitingly beautiful
- Driving on Lake Shore is hard to beat

The bad:
- City drivers are animals
- Traffic is brutal, shouldn’t take an hour to go 15 miles

Haha the difference between a Bloomington 15 miles and Chicago 15 miles is astounding. By animals I mean the 15-20 cars who tried to avoid traffic by driving on the shoulder (even a few who drove on the grass next to the shoulder) or bike lane. Savages.

I can see examples of how it’s improved players stock value but I can’t find any player that was drafted and not successful at the lower levels

However, I think is the landscape of youth baseball not as much the professional level. MLB and professional sports, in general, is the last true meritocracy. Produce or you’re gone.
