@PhilipEvsChels @FreedomTree22 Mental health services get ~8% NHS budget. Instead of more funding, the current government continue stripping support via the "beatings will continue until morale improves" philosophy despite 15 years of that not working.

The Tories broke it but Labour enjoy kicking the corpse.

This is how Labour won so many seats with a low share count & partly why we've had a 2 party system for so long. Continuing the same will do nothing for the quality of our politics.

@bbchealth Consistent, timely treatment on the NHS would be very important to most peoples. Shame it isn't the case w decades of cuts & the need for the twee, feel-good articles in lieu of real service provision to tell the uninformed there isn't a disparity crisis of basic care provision.

This. Think of any privatised service and if it has been any better. Public transport comes to mind.

All basic infrastructure needs should be in public ownership and accountability. Not in foreign wealth managers and dividend holders hands.
