Prophet Yusuf waited in the well,
Prophet Ibrahim waited in the fire,
Prophet Ayyub waited to get cured,
Prophet Yunus waited in the whale.

If Allah is making you wait, you're in good company.

Don’t give yourself everything you want.
Make yourself wait.

Your nafs is like a baby.
Discipline yourself.

May Allah ﷻ make us among the patient, and grant us opportunity to practice patience, beautifully and with excellence.

Tahajjud Competition with My Mother-in-Law ❤️

When I found out I was pregnant, I secretly prayed for a boy. I raised my younger sister like my own child—so this time I just wanted to experience the joy of raising a boy.

But my mother-in-law had other plans. She always dreamed of a girl, but never got one.

She smiled and said, “Let’s have a Tahajjud competition. You pray for a boy, I’ll pray for a girl. Let’s see who wins.”

And from there, we both started whispering our prayers at the end of the night.

First ultrasound… twins!

We both laughed and cried. It was as if Allah was softly saying: There’s no need for a competition. You both won.

A baby girl. A baby boy.

My son was weak and had to stay in the NICU.

But Alhamdulillah, today they are both healthy and turning into three years old—Double our joy, Double the result of our prayers.

*Tahajjud is truly something extraordinary*.❤️
