@StrengthDebates And ends up doing 3 or 4 X 8-12 at what they think is 70% of their 1RM but is actually more like 90%...then they wonder why they get hurt or can't finish a workout! Can you tell what my pet peeve is in the weight room? Haha!
@StrengthDebates So in the end, some athletes end up with the wrong numbers...an ego max that cam from a failed lift but got counted anyway...or a max based on a coach's misunderstanding of what qualifies as a true lift for a true max...so said athete uses this max to figure future lifts 🤯
@StrengthDebates Athletes end up claiming a max load on a faled lift because the are unsupervised or the coaches watching don't have the experience or expertise to judge a true technical max lift...or even an absolute max where form isn't the focus, just getting the weight up is.
@StrengthDebates My problem with maxing out, period, is that it is not relevant or necessary fir most sports. Football and power lifting being the exceptions. Every other sport can just do a lift to failure and find their 1RM max from a chart online with a high degree of accuracy.
@teachergoals Yes and no. Thank goodness my bad decisions weren't documented haha BUT kids can teach themselves SO much MORE and FASTER than we ever could!
@Bodybuildingcom None from synthetic drink mixes. My favorite pre-workout is a simple banana. Better at fueling workouts plus it's actual nutrition. If I'm going super long or super heavy I might add the bananas to a rice cake with peanut butter and a drizzle of honey.
@GarageStrength@mattie_rogers I love her and I think she's so strong and so talented but it didn't looked like she had control of the weight at the top of the lift. *it's much easier to criticize it than it is to actually lift it, though.
@StrengthDebates Just teach the lifts you learned in high school. Never change your program, same lifts every year, same charts, same everything for four years. The goal is to create gaps and imbalances in the athletes. 💩
@grizzlytrackghs@GlennGrizzXC Highest compliments to the coaches and staff who stay busy with the Reminds and Stack communication! Your efforts are appreciated! We were able to find information we needed quickly and easily because of your communication!
