I've decided that the Sabres season ticket holders who aren't selling their tickets to Habs fans are the real problem. We simply aren't letting enough into the building to make the Sabres players enter road warrior mode.
@bufscott Never said there weren't. If they play better I'm probably not even worried about the crowd makeup, but unfortunately they've mostly stunk. Need the big dogs to show up and play tonight!
If I'm a Sabres player I'd be livid about the state of the Key Bank Center the past 3 home games. We're in round 2 of the playoffs and the lower bowl has been turned over to the Habs fans. Sabres season ticket holders should be embarrassed.
No matter what happens tonight, the past six months have been an absolutely incredible ride. Broke the drought, won a round, added a banner, potentially secured some individual hardware.
Biggest of all, city-wide passion is back. I would die for this team.
Sabs in 7.
@ByMHarrington I'm of the opinion that if I can hear Habs fans cheer and hear them start chants on a TV broadcast there's too many in attendance. It's obviously been exacerbated by how bad they've played. Maybe I exaggerated the amount in the building, but it's still not a good look in my eyes.
@COAbrah_@BMaz1 I should have mentioned my least favorite Sabres crowd behavior is booing when the Habs fans start a chant rather than drowning them out with a Let's go Buffalo chant of our own. We're out of practice.
@COAbrah_@BMaz1 I agree that the Sabres playing bad has made this more of an issue than it probably is in my mind. Just really don't like hearing audible cheers and "ole" chants from Habs fans in the KBC over a TV broadcast. I was there for game 2 and there was a ton of red in the lower bowl.
@GarryMarr I'm not absolving the Sabres of playing like shit. I'm very critical of Tage, Tuch and Dahlin. Doesn't change the fact that I'm annoyed the lower bowl feels like a 50/50 split between Sabres and Habs fans. It probably feels worse than it is because our top players have sunk us.
@rdubbs76@paulie0963 If it's enough that I can hear them cheer or start a chant on the TV broadcast then its too many. Realistically theyre only noticeable because the Sabres have mostly stunk on home ice in the playoffs, but it doesnt mean I have to accept it. 😅
