Faced with the possibility of a tragedy of immense proportions, I make a heartfelt appeal to all the parties involved to assume the moral responsibility of halting the spiral of violence before it becomes an unbridgeable chasm. May diplomacy regain its proper role, and may the well-being of peoples, who yearn for peaceful existence founded on justice, be upheld. And let us continue to pray for peace.
Pope Leo XIV: "Ignorance of Scripture is ignorance of God. With this in mind, I encourage you to read and contemplate the inspired word of God daily. May the Word of God nourish our hearts and our minds and lead us to the fullness of life."
In Maryâs divine motherhood we see the meeting of two immense, âunarmedâ realities: that of God, who renounces every privilege of his divinity to be born in the flesh (cf. Phil 2:6-11), and that of a human person who, trustingly and fully, embraces Godâs will. In a perfect act of love, she offers him the greatest power she possesses: her freedom.
Marian spirituality is at the service of the Gospel: it reveals its simplicity. Our affection for Mary of Nazareth leads us to join her in becoming disciples of Jesus. It teaches us to return to him and to meditate and ponder the events of our lives in which the Risen One still comes to us and calls us. #Jubilee2025
Let us look to the Mother of Jesus and the small group of courageous women at the foot of the cross. May we learn from them to stand beside the countless crosses of the world, where Christ is still crucified in his brothers and sisters, in order to bring them comfort, communion and help. #Jubilee2025
Together with Mary, the Mother of Jesus, let us persevere tirelessly in praying for peace, a God-given gift that we must strive to receive and to which we must make a strong commitment. #PrayTogether#Jubilee2025
The Church dedicates the coming month of October to the #HolyRosary. I invite everyone to pray the Rosary for #Peace each day of the monthâindividually, in the family, in community. On Saturday, October 11, at 6:00 PM, we will pray the Rosary together in St. Peterâs Square, during the vigil of the Jubilee of Marian Spirituality, also recalling the anniversary of the opening of the Second Vatican Council.

Saints Pier Giorgio Frassati and Carlo Acutis are an invitation to all of us, especially young people, not to squander our lives, but to direct them upwards and make them masterpieces. https://t.co/aXAe9fjN35
None of us can be self-sufficient. No-one can save themselves. Life is âfulfilledâ not when we are strong, but when we learn how to receive. #GeneralAudience

Humility is really freedom from ourselves. Those who exalt themselves think that nothing is more interesting than themselves. Yet, those who know they are precious in Godâs eyes have greater things of which to boast, and a dignity that shines on its own. #GospelOfTheDay (Lk 14:1,7-14)
Today, the universal Church celebrates the liturgical memorial of the martyrdom of Saint John the Baptist. His example can help us reflect on the mission of modern evangelizers. The key to every school of evangelization is to bear witness to what we contemplate and our encounter with the God of life.
Today we celebrate the memorial of the Blessed Virgin Mary, Queen of Heaven, also invoked as Queen of Peace. Let us fast and pray to implore the Lord for the gift of peace. Let us #PrayTogether that hearts may be freed from hatred, that we may move beyond the logic of division and retaliation, and that a shared vision inspired by the common good may prevail.
Let us pray that efforts to bring wars to an end and to promote peace may bear fruit, and that in negotiations the common good of peoples may always be placed first.
