1. Even the best national teams are gonna lack depth in certain positions, that club teams address with recruiting.

2. National teams have very little time to practice as a unit, so their schemes are simpler

Men working jobs with more hours and higher physical risk feels consistent with what we know about gender preferences and also something I think most would agree in a normative sense justifies higher pay.
