@mitchdavis_8@KySportsRadio I’m a daily listener to KSR and as a former college baseball guy I admit that sometimes the takes are a little cringey, but Matt represents a big portion of the UK fan base. They’re casual baseball fans. They only pay attention when UK is good.
@mitchdavis_8@savanah2j They really don’t like each other and they aren’t afraid to play. A lot of P5 schools would avoid a dangerous Group of 5 school right down the road from them but they regularly play. Hope that doesn’t change.
Four years ago, almost to the day.
Started banging this drum for Calipari and have continued to bang it for Pope.
A program of Kentucky’s status and means — and aspirations — not having a GM (and frankly, a full scouting/roster management staff) is simply malpractice in 2026.
My conviction remains:
God did not ordain Donald Trump to rescue the American church, or revive the American church, or redeem the American church.
God ordained Donald Trump to test the American church. And the American church has failed.
5 minutes before Trump’s announcement:
* $1.5B notional worth of S&P500 (ES) futures are bought in a single clip.
* $192M notional of oil futures (CL) sold.
More than 4x-6x any other trade size during the market close.
Insiders profited from his lies in broad daylight!
Dan hits the nail on the head with this one. If UK athletics at the top can’t figure out the new era of college basketball it doesn’t matter who the coach is. They won’t be successful
After an inept loss to the kind of coach you could easily envision at Kentucky, Mark Pope is now on the clock. He has one year to get it right.

Why do so many kids and parents like the private hitting, pitching, velocity guru more than their high school or college coach?
I'll answer that.
The private guru doesn't have to win games.
The high school or college coach has a W-L record.
No offense to Yaxel but I don’t believe this is true
Kentucky offered a lot, maybe even slightly more than Michigan. But it wasn’t close to this amount and if they had, he would have taken it. Let’s be real
This narrative is incorrect, IMO.
He got stale in his last few years at Kentucky and was not doing a good job. He needed a wake-up call and a fresh start. Status quo was not an option for either side. It was a good and necessary move for him.
Just realized the best part of having an autobid is that we don’t need a relative going on tv to explain why we deserve to be in over a 30-win @MiamiRedHawks
"Covid will be over in two weeks. Gone by Easter"
"We're signing a health care plan within two weeks"
"They’re dying, Russians & Ukrainians. I want them to stop dying. I’ll have that done — I’ll have that done in 24 hours"
Based on his record, this isn’t ending anytime soon.
