@CoffeeBlackMD there are 1000s of examples of professional athletes that take up golf, completely new to the game and in adulthood, and are ~scratch~ golfers in a relatively short time period.
@AJA_Cortes 5 years ago it would have been unfathomable for it to even be in the realm of political debate. Even getting struck down at the SC, it’s still progress and the topic/issue isn’t going to magically go away. Might take decades.
@megha_lilly@hearthkeeping The other aspect is you get better at parenting the more kids you have, you don’t sweat the small stuff as much, and you’re already accustomed to the parenting demands. You realize kids have to fit into your life and what you’re doing sometimes instead of the other way around.
@BowTiedBull Even if you don’t “love” it, doing what your naturally gifted at will undoubtedly provide you at least some sense of fulfillment. God made you with specific talents. Using them will obviously make you happier than if you don’t.
Alex Lyon:
“As a guy whose been with a bunch of different teams, I’m kind of an amorphous blob to a degree where I can fit into different situations and adapt to the circumstances and that’s what I try to do, and I think that’s where my value lies.”

I’m a huge advocate for more boarding calls because it’s the most under-called and misunderstood penalties in hockey by far. With that said, this is not boarding.
@FrMatthewLC i couldn't care less about the lack of evidence re: deterence. Not everything is about incentives. This vile piece of filth kidnapped, raped, & murdered a 10yo girl. Idc if executing him cost $1 trillion or if the executioner gets depressed. Let the father pull the trigger
