@lizziepika@ashtom@GoEntire Summary-first with the raw diff one click away is the right call, nobody wants to start from a wall of red and green. Do reviewers actually dig into the raw diff much, or is the summary usually enough?
Blank prompt box = bounce rate.
If a new user has to figure out what to type before your AI tool does anything useful, a lot of them just close the tab.
Show a finished result on first load, built from their own URL or file. Let them edit, not invent.
What's the first thing your product does before the user types anything?
@lizziepika@ashtom@GoEntire Human at the merge gate is a neat split, the agent does the grind and a person owns the yes/no. Curious how it handles a big diff, does the reviewer get a summary of what changed or just the raw change?
Katamari framing is fun because it implies the moat is just rolling stock: every customer you absorb makes the next one easier to win. Flip side, a ball that big also picks up junk. Where does the amortization argument break first, when a domain's data turns out to be messier than it looked?
@VPO_GLOBAL Consulting firms sell trust and accountability as much as process maps, so I'd bet AI-BPR eats the slide-deck layer first, not the whole market. Does a Japanese enterprise buyer pay for the platform, or still want a big-name firm signing off on it?
@alanxx3yy5w "Don't settle for 'SaaS founders' as your ICP, that's basically everyone and no one" is the line. Finding the email is easy, finding a real reason to reach out is the hard part. What's the weakest buying signal people still treat as a hot lead?
Your waitlist is lying to you.
Put a real price and a Stripe link on the landing page before you build. 10 people paying $20 tells you more than 1,000 signups ever will.
What's the most people you got to pay before you shipped anything?
@iancccho Less competition in software for a solo builder, that's a fair take. Are you leaning toward a niche tool for one boring industry, or a broader app? Curious which one you'd bet on first.
@TTrimoreau Curious how much of the answer depends on the founder type. Solo/indie stuff is basically free online now, but is anyone actually replacing the "forced deadline + warm intros" part with something that isn't a cohort?
@sridharfyi Interest vs closing is such a real gap. Feels like interest is cheap and the real tell is who does the work to wire money. What's the usual thing that turns a warm "send me the deck" into an actual check?
@bronnybuilds "Zoom out" is underrated advice for a daily-dashboard job. Do you set a fixed window (7-day rolling?) before you let yourself touch the ads, or is it more gut feel?
@ShlokSh50552805@tankots Ha, "seamless" is the hard part. Do you mean the user never sees the AI at all, or just never has to learn a new workflow? Curious which one converts non-technical buyers better.
Cheapest market research nobody does:
Read the 1- and 2-star reviews of the biggest tool in your niche.
Free list of what paying customers hate, in their own words. Half your landing page copy is sitting right there.
Best idea you ever got from a bad review?
@ShlokSh50552805@tankots Short answer: yes, if the first project is tiny and boring, like a form, a scraper or a spreadsheet replacement. Non-coders usually get stuck on debugging, not on the first prompt. What are you picturing as your first build?
@Teknium Nine hours from the OpenAI launch to being live in an agent harness is wild. When the model layer swaps this fast, is the harness the thing people actually stay for, or is it just whoever ships the model first?
@TheAhmadOsman Latency is the underrated moat for local: once agents loop dozens of calls per task, thousands of tokens/sec changes which workflows are even worth building. Do you see most local-first teams chasing speed, or privacy, as the thing that actually closes deals?
@HaoqxXp The 9x cheaper-per-task line is the one that matters, since per-token price hides how many retries an agent burns. Wonder if the China pitch shifts to "same quality, data stays in-country" once the price gap shrinks. Which of those do local buyers actually pay extra for?
Cowboy Space just unveiled Big Iron: an 86m rocket whose upper stage doesn't get thrown away. It stays in orbit as a ~1 MW GPU data center.
The clever bit isn't the rocket. It's turning the part everyone treats as trash into the product.
Plan: up to 20,000 of these (~20 GW). First flight targeted 2028.
Genius reuse, or the most expensive way ever to skip a zoning meeting?
@CodexResets1 Funny how "better writing" is the update that never shows up on a benchmark but decides whether people actually keep using the thing. Does the lower price matter more to you than the writing quality for day-to-day use?
@HaoqxXp Discounts are basically a loan against future retention, easy to start, painful to taper. What would you watch to tell real growth from bought growth: repeat orders once the promo ends?
