โAny fool can know. The point is to understand.โ
Our new search tool understands your codebase beyond literal phrases, returning results for intent, semantic reasoning, and the context behind key decisions.
An agent needs to know which pattern your team settled on and why a change landed. That context no longer sits in just the code. Today weโre releasing Agentic Search: one API across every repo your agent can access, returning the code, the session, transcript, and prompt behind the change.

@jakozaur Our open source SDK has a redaction engine. Easy enough to have an agent extend it with whatever filters you want. And, issues, pull requests, commit messages, and code comments already included our yelling. ๐
@MuklyfeMarshall@GergelyOrosz Was "lines of code written" a valuable metric before we had agents? I'd argue you can show your true engineering craft better than ever with the help of agents. Great developers have already learned how to use agents without low quality outcome, i.e. slop.
git config --global https://t.co/NMkSOdPkaB can be set to any value. You can literally fill my contribution graph with green squares from commits I never did in repos I donโt have access to. The name in the blame only really matters to ask the person if they remember why they wrote this code. If you have the agent session log, you donโt need to ask.
Leave your agents running and come have an entire espresso with us. โ๏ธ Or a pragmatic donut. ๐ฉ
Join @ashtom and @GergelyOrosz for a pop up sit down to talk about source control, code review, and agents.

Git was built to track code. The next forge needs to understand how that code came to be.
Humans and agents working together, with the context behind the code living right alongside it.
Had a fun chat about all of this with @DevInterrupted.
And yes, we got interrupted while our agents kept coding. ๐ https://t.co/hbAJmJ9Dfw
Today's the day. Excited to kick off our 5th annual IA40 Summit.
We've had some iconic moments over the years (Brad Gerstner (@altcap) winning a bet about an agent booking hotels for you), and we can't wait to see what's in store this year.
With this year's "harnessing the value of AI" theme, we're digging into Microsoft's recently announced Super Apps with @clamanna; the data enabling the agentic world with @zaheerav (@Databricks), Rahul Auradkar (@Salesforce), and Ganapathy (G2) Krishnamoorthy (@awscloud); software's agentic rewrite with Eno Reyes (@Factory), Taroon Mandhana (@Atlassian), and @ashtom (@EntireHQ ) - and SO much more.
Let's go!
@Adrian_Stevens It is. Your digital assistant is your copilot, even when it works alone at night for you. Calling the autonomous agent โautopilotโ fails the metaphor.
In my career, compilers have always generated better code that I ever could have. I find this to be increasingly so with contemporary AIs.
But you know what neither can do better than me?
Knowing what software to write, what shape it should take, and what I want it to do.
The entire history of software engineering has been one of rising levels of abstraction.
This is how it was, how it is now, and how it shall be in the fullness of time.
That DHH saying out loud that the age of writing code by hand is over for the industry, and causing such a huge uproar is a bit interesting, given this was clear enough since ~January for most of us using the models + paying attention.

Our friend @spedemo has made a real Marvin, 3D printed, remote controlled, with voice detection and speech, all open source. And it connects to ChatGPT and Entire.
Come meet Marvin, Stefano and us @wearedevs San Jose, booth 753. ๐
We're adding support for AGENTS.md to Claude Code.
Starting today in version 2.1.277, if there is no CLAUDE.md in a folder, Claude will check for and use AGENTS.md.
You can toggle this behavior in /config.
@theo AI emails rank on top of it. Had one today, pitching a startup idea in over 2000 words and with 7 attached PDFs, all clearly AI slop. Instant delete.
