The killer yukiko would be a more fundamental change but would give a fun distinction between the two versions as a hypothetical

RTD2 had some bad choices, and both started and ended on a stupid stunt cast, but that was mostly attempts to try and win back the audience that Chibnall lost over his 5 years of really bad TV. There are people who enjoy his era but the popular opinion was that it sucked.

People tuned in for his first few episodes after dwindling during the Capaldi era, realised that it was shit now, and it maintained that reputation. Not saying that he is entirely to blame but yeah 3 series of back-to-back bad TV will affect the shows ratings long term.

I just don't get how anyone could earnestly believe that Chibnall had something to do with the current state the show is in. Like just cause you don't like his episodes doesn't mean he's in any way responsible for what's currently going on.
