I joined the launch of the RISE Agri-Food Initiative, empowering women and youth across Nigeria’s agricultural sector.
This project will create jobs, boost productivity, and strengthen food security, while positioning women and youth as leaders and innovators in agriculture.
Last year, we launched the Presidential SHS to transform soil management and boost agricultural productivity.
Through a new MoU with IITA, the scheme will support farmers with soil data, expand testing labs nationwide, advance and strengthen Nigeria’s food security.
I welcomed Gov. Mohammed Umaru Bago @HonBago in Borgu following the tragic attack that claimed lives.
My heartfelt sympathies to the affected families.
May the departed rest in peace, and may lasting peace return to Borgu and Niger State.
May the year 2026 usher in peace across our land, resilience among our people, and abundance in our farms. May God bless Nigeria with unity of purpose, wisdom in leadership, and steady progress, and may our collective efforts be crowned with enduring prosperity for all.

Visited the Quality Assurance site under construction in Kaduna State. Encouraged by the progress on this vital facility, which will strengthen product testing, certification, and food safety.
Once completed, it will ease agricultural exportation and boost our agro-value chain
