City look like they're really struggling with on and off the ball instructions from Maresca.

Everything has a delay, players thinking too much about positions, movement etc.

In time it'll improve, but right now looks really rough.

@__scottsaunders Part of the issue the time it will take for Maresca to instill his on and off the ball principles into this group.

Naturally it'll take time and I think that's partly why they look so off it in the first half.

They look like they're having to really think about every move/pass.

Seen a lot of people say Enzo Fernandez is leaving Chelsea today and I just can't see it happening.

Enzo will be a huge figure in their season after this clarity. Big campaign ahead for him and Chelsea.

I think Spence will do really well at Inter, surprised PL clubs didn't come in for him, he's got real quality 1v1.

The fee (€30m) does however seem remarkably LOW considering his World Cup showing and that he's only 26.

@ralphdbrown Right, yeah. But considering his value to Newcastle, it could easily have been dragged on looking for that extra £15m, could even have gone into the beginning of the season.

There's a maturity in this from Newcastle to make their peace with it and move on to reset.

@C_B9 Yeah I think that's it, it's about who blinks first, who is in more of a position of strength and who is willing to hold.

The player definitely comes into it as well, how well he is behaved and how inconvenient he wants to make it for the selling club, e.g Isak last summer.

The thing with Bruno Guimaraes to #Arsenal is that both clubs value the player DIFFERENTLY.

£70m may well be a good offer for Arsenal and could well be what they value him at.

The fact is #Newcastle value him MORE. So want more.

Had the best save percentage in the Championship during his last full season with 84% and prevented 12.8 goals.

Price is a different matter entirely, he's quality though. Who'd you rather?

@RealTokenomist @GOAT122122 @DougieCritchley Changes clearly needed to happen, especially when the game state was shifting. Apparently Rashford was set to come on before the Gordon goal and once we scored, the plan was somewhat sidelined.

That lack of energy could well have played a part in us losing grip. Hind sight.
