[THREAD] Did you know that Bill Bowerman, co-founder of @Nike contributed to the spread of the jogging trend in the US in the sixties and seventies? At the time, jogging was rather obscure but it was popularized thanks to Bowerman’s investment in educational content.
In 1966, he co-authored a jogging guide with an experienced cardiologist. Some argue that there wasn’t any strategic intention behind it and that Bowerman simply wanted to promote a healthy physical activity that’s easy to pursue.
