One of the first things I got to do at Sumer was sit down and deeply examine the common models used in Football Tracking data. As we surveyed the nature of problems needing to be solved and the type of data, we discovered that Transformers were a powerful and canonical fit. Now more than 2 years later, we are open sourcing and sharing a small piece of that work!

We are hoping that our open source Github repo (https://t.co/jzNSLOZYOE) and #BigDataBowl Kaggle Notebook (https://t.co/bfdQoyPige) will pave the way for more folks adopting them for their projects.

This is something I am super passionate about, so would be open to answering many questions and helping out folks who might be interested.
