@brotherharryy@forallcurious During WWI and II millions of ppl were dying and we dropped a nuclear bomb on Japan killing entire cities of ppl. And you think a few earthquakes are worse than that? There will always be someone claiming it's end times.
Michael Bolton in Office Space (1999) — by far one of the greatest character introductions in comedy film history as he raps Scarface’s “No Tears” on his way to work 😭🎬
Invest knowledge into your audio!
Here's a direction but please don't take a streamer's advice, learn from the audio engineers.
dB stands for decibels, the industry-standard unit used to measure audio levels. LUFS measures perceived loudness, while dB measures the actual signal level.
While perceived loudness can vary from person to person, the dB reading on an audio meter is objective and measurable.
Think of an audio meter like a thermometer; it gives you a consistent reading. The numbers don't lie. Once you learn what different dB levels sound like to you, you'll be able to make more informed mixing decisions and create a cleaner, more balanced stream.
Hope this is helpful 💕
Robert Downey Jr. says reaching the top of your profession won't make you happy
"You're going to think this is great Monday and on Thursday, when you don't understand why you're still you, then let's talk, because that's when it gets interesting"
"There is no substitute for a clear conscience"
"Being able to put head to pillow at night with no wreckage, no damage, no apologies required"
My biggest pet peeve is when someone gives advice about audio, AND IT'S WRONG ahh
With a degree in Post Production (editing) and 10 years working in the industry for tv, my advice is...
Audio Mixer OBS:
Voice: -5db (THE RED ZONE IS GOOD, never get to 0)
Game: between -20db & -15db (Yellow)
Music: between -45db & -35db (Low Green)
People saying never to put audio in the red zone in OBS are flat out wrong. You want to avoid distortion, which is when it peaks at 0 and above, but your voice should be louder than the game.
Hope this helps!
