@ErnestoSOFTWARE Those capture like 99% of human activity so hard to make an app that doesnt touch them, but ironically youre more likely to succeed if you do know a !% niche and have expertise serving that market then these ultra competitive ones that have had players for 10+ years
@RealKidPoker Mass censorship and cancel culture encouraged by 'free speech' crowd but you comment on this nothingburger. You've gone all in on right wing grift because you have zero principles, twitter leans left, you post left wing stuff, twitter leans right, right grift. Pathetic.
@techleadhd youre telling me people who make apps and work at top tech companies will realize theres better opportunities in youtube ? hard to believe that could ever happen
@techleadhd coding is still fun, I mostly agree with you but I think you can combine coding + creator (you yourself being an example and many others). another example would be fireship. you write code, but also vlog / blog about it, shill some info products, best of both worlds.
@MichaelOChurch Aaron swartz was absolutely shameful and avoidable tragedy. BUT - as someone who's really pissed off tech employers, it doesnt matter that much. Get fired, some other company will hire you, in my experience.
@MichaelOChurch I had my own battle with Google. Yes, disparaging past employers gets held against you. But your biggest hits were against Agile and Macleod. Think you could have kept the substance without naming past employers.
@MichaelOChurch And you know....Kafka died before anyone gave a shit about his novels. John Kennedy Toole, same. And who knows how many great novels never got discovered. If you want a sure path to admiration...fiction novels just ain't it and never were
@dabit3 Root cause is a lot of engineers are pushovers and biz folks plan to exploit that. Same reason so much of SV is run by the idiots in VC and execs who prob can’t spell Python. No collective bargaining, hating indie devs and worshipping FAANG , etc
@liron My username is trader pun but I’m not really a trader , dabble in it , but mostly invest and hold. I’m an investor and believe long term timeline for btc. 6 months from now I think above 15k and you can “I told you so” if I’m wrong but I ain’t selling anyway
@AndrewSteinwold You can only make 9B by taking huge risks. They were openly huge long on SOL which got rekt . You know who else were wealthiest on planet? Lehman Bros, Bear Stearns, Long Term Cap Management, list goes on. They were all unsinkable titanics until unthinkable icebergs
@thesamparr Funny everyone obsessed over tech & homeless. I love San Francisco for surfing at Ocean Beach and food variety and rarely see homeless in my neck of the woods. People act like Tenderloin and Soma are the whole city
@ryantakesoff cool story except you kinda did fail. and yeah, if I wanted to convince employees to take personal recourse loans I would definitely want positive and dumb ones over smart and cynical ones as well.
@matthuang I give you a lot of credit for acknowledging you made a mistake . Maybe it was a dumb mistake but more admirable than pretending a mistake was never made.
@ChancesCards Agreed. I used to play many RTS. Most non “meta/standard” plays were bad. But every now and then, something that was once “bad” in the hands of the right player, would dominate until it became the new “meta/standard”
@remember324ezpz @sassal0x@KyleSamani I literally dumped all my SOL months ago when I read one of his old interviews where he said he briefly worked as an engineering but quickly got out of it because "engineers were losers". That interview saved me a LOT of money
@mwseibel maybe because compulsively chasing money/power is itself a sign of a fragile ego that needs those things as validation to feel self-worth. Its not "oh even the ulta-rich are insecure" its ESPECIALLY the rich are insecure because well-adjusted people are happy with "enough"
