@BuhyJanner@josephsupple1 I think you'll find the Russians on the eastern front were the biggest problem for Hitler. This facilitated the rest of the allies.
@johnredwood Put govt money into the economy with infrastructure projects, investment and renewal.
Giving workers decent wages increases tax revenues, spending and hence more jobs... and the growth cycle will begin.
We've 12 years of failed trickle down, shrinkage and bullshit conservatism.
@johnredwood Capitalism is about profit: minimum wages and working conditions.
If workers hadn't fought for every little thing, our kids would still be down the mines, 310 days a year.
The growth plan, locally and nationally is give working people money to spend, not more wealth for the rich
@THEJamesWhale@THEJamesWhale, lets see how thick *you are. Arrange these letters to form words:
Ouy aer a pemlteco itt owh hsa on ghrit to cirtciesc retsoh.
@THEJamesWhale These bloody tories plundering the public purse to line their own pockets then claiming there's no money for ordinary people. Why on earth would anyone vote tory?
@Johnbel61577389 I should say, given how cold it is, Labour voters stayed home and Tory voters went out to vote Labour because they know there is no justification for the carnage the Government is creating in the UK to ordinary peoples' lives.
Tories are waking up.
Happy days.
@chrisgutowski @totalgoatrodeo @VeganDave@MatthewStadlen@kelvmackenzie I guess you don't know that many companies are registered in tax havens? Wealthy individuals likewise. Why?
To avoid paying taxes in the UK. Thus our services and communities suffer. If they did pay there could be higher wages (which leads to more nurses, spending & tax revenue)
@chrisgutowski@VeganDave @totalgoatrodeo @MatthewStadlen@kelvmackenzie What do you want, a manifesto in 250 chars?
Isn't it enough that the system is failing? Moreso since 2010, which just happens to coincide with Tory government.
SOUNDBITE 1: The NHS is declining as a matter of policy in order to sell it off.
SOUNDBITE 2: It is the Tories policy.
Tory MP @danny__kruger claimed ยฃ3,598 on expenses for his utility bill last year.
This was the highest claim by any MP to cover their bills in such a short duration.
Retweet if you think Kruger should pay for his own gas and electric supply.
@chrisgutowski@VeganDave @totalgoatrodeo @MatthewStadlen@kelvmackenzie People don't answer because it's not about a number, it's about the 5th wealthiest society that has the means to care for it's own, if the fat cats hadn't decided that it would be better to leave behind those that they exploit the most.
