These are the original none Arab no e Muslim people of Iraq before the colonisation of the Arab Muslim world.... There are lessons here for people to learn.
I took this advice.
I rented a decent self contain at a developing area in 2025.
600K. Very affordable.
4 months into living there, EFCC broke down every door in the compound at 2am in the morning.
They turned my house upside down and searched my devices, when they didn't see what they're looking for, they left.
Exactly a month after that incident, armed thieves broke into the compound at exactly 1am and robbed everyone, made away with a neighbor's car.
2 months after that, EFCC broke into the compound again.
This time, even when they searched devices there and didn't see anything, they took everyone to their station.
That's the must traumatic event of my life.
I slept in their hell of a cell from 2am to 9am.
I hired a lawyer to bail myself out even when nothing incriminating was found on my devices.
See eh, when people make certain decisions about where to live, sometimes it's more than Lifestyle influencing it.
They want security.
They want stable electricity, which is crucial to their work.
They want many other things that have nothing to do with living above your means.
If you have ever evangelised deeply in villages, you will understand the pain that burns in my heart when I see things like this.
Many people practising traditional religion will point to certain Roman Catholic traditions and ask, “What is the difference between what we do and what they do?”
I guess this too will be called “honouring a dead saint.”
But look at this picture carefully. A dead person's skull is being publicly presented, kissed and treated with religious reverence.
If this exact thing was done by a Pentecostal pastor or a traditional priest, what would have been your judgment?
Would you call it honour, or would you call it a ritual?
This is why we must sincerely examine some of these traditions. Not everything inherited must be defended simply because it is old.
How do you convince someone coming out of ancestral religious practices that kissing, bowing before and venerating human remains is completely different from what you are asking them to leave behind?
Let us reflect deeply on these things as the Church. Christ must remain above our traditions.
Nigeria Cannot Become a Killing Field
What is happening to our country?
In recent days, deadly attacks have struck Benue, Plateau and Niger States, three contiguous states in Nigeria’s North-Central region.
In Mangu, Plateau State, at least 23 people were officially reported killed in the Jwak Maitumbi attack, while residents put the toll above 30. More than 45 houses were reportedly destroyed. In Borgu, Niger State, recent attacks reportedly killed over 40 people and abducted more than 100, though the figures remain contested.
This comes amid continuing violence in Benue, where communities face repeated killings, abductions and the destruction of homes and livelihoods.
Nigeria is not officially at war, yet citizens are being attacked in their villages, abducted after prayers, driven from their homes and stripped of their farms.
What is happening in Benue, Plateau and Niger is similar to what is happening elsewhere in the country, with some attacks even going unreported. The violence across these states must no longer be treated as isolated incidents. It is a national security emergency requiring urgent and coordinated action.
I urge governments at all levels to wake up to their responsibility and take urgent and decisive action to end this madness once and for all.
Government must protect vulnerable communities, improve intelligence and rapid-response capabilities, rescue abducted Nigerians, and arrest and prosecute those responsible.
We cannot keep counting bodies after every attack. We must prevent these attacks before they happen.
Protecting lives and property is the most basic duty of government. Nigerians deserve nothing less.
Nigeria must not become a killing field. -PO
When a woman choose to abort, kill her child or be unclad, it is her choice but when a woman chooses to keep a home or give birth as she chooses, it is her husband making her do it.
It is women choice only when it suits you best people.
This. I am suffering for it. I receive hundreds of passenger complaints daily via X, Instagram, Tik Tok, Facebook, Whatsapp, emails, and from calls. As hard as this is, I try to respond to as many as possible, while still doing administrative work treating files, trainings, personal issues, official meetings and my children.
Then someone would send a 'Hello', I respond, and they ask, "How are you?" This is where it gets funny. I respond "I am fine, thanks for asking," and their next question is, "How is work, and how is life?"
At this point, I zone out. Then they decide that it is me being arrogant. They have no idea how much you are dealing with, daily. They expect you to indulge social conversations in the middle of very busy work days.
If only they knew.
One case, the family of someone who passed away during a flight called me at 01:30am (middle of night), and that call lasted until 2pm the next afternoon. I still had to bath and leave for work after not having a wink of sleep all night, and needing to catch up on waiting files and official visitors.
Some dude without prior appointment was waiting in my office. He is ushered in and, 10 minutes later, had not stated what brought him. Just irrelevant banter.
"Bro, I have two airlines waiting for a meeting, and I arrived late. I'd like to show them some respect by not making them wait longer. Can we talk another time?"
Dude left angry, saying I had belittled him. I did not know how to feel, but I will never give him a minute of my time again.
Even if you killed yourself for them, most people would not appreciate. It's tough out here.
Eight members of one family were brutally slaughtered inside this very compound, leaving behind a scene of unimaginable grief and devastation.
And then, in the midst of this horror, a tiny two-year-old child was found the only survivor. She had been left for dead, wounded by a bullet that struck her leg and hip.
She was only a baby. Too young to understand why the people she loved were suddenly gone. Too young to comprehend the violence surrounding her. Yet somehow, she survived.
Her little life is a heartbreaking reminder of the precious lives lost and the innocent children who continue to bear the scars of violence.
The Bible says, “A voice was heard in Ramah, mourning and great weeping, Rachel weeping for her children and refusing to be comforted, because they are no more.” — Matthew 2:18
Today, we remember this family. We remember their lives, their dreams, and the loved ones who will never hear their voices again. And we pray for this little survivor, that God will preserve her life, heal her wounds, and surround her with people who will love and protect her.
Lord, have mercy on the innocent. Comfort the brokenhearted and bring an end to the bloodshed.
Which of the seven churches in Revelation that Jesus addressed was the Catholic Church? Or was it all of them?
Was any of the Churches in Corinth, or Phillipi, or Collose, Or India, or Ephesus, or Thessaloniki the Catholic Church? Seeing as they were started by Paul? Or the churches started by the likes of Barnabas or Priscilla & Aquila or Apollos?
Because if they were all part of the Catholic Church despite being so different, then all churches today are part of the Catholic Church.
And which of ANY of these churches had priests like in the law and in the pagan traditions, which never occurred EVEN ONCE in the entire New Testament?
Meet Khalifa Aminu, a 20-year-old self-taught inventor from Kano 🇳🇬
From a young age, he taught himself engineering via YouTube, Google & AI.
He built smart glasses that guide visually impaired users using sensors.
He won the 2024 Indomie Heroes Award
Other projects include an FM transmitter, drone, boat, agricultural spraying device, security systems, inverter and other electronic devices.
But the invention that brought him national attention was his electronic glasses for visually impaired people. 👓
The glasses use sensors to detect obstacles in front of the wearer and produce an audible warning, helping the user navigate their surroundings.
The ambition is no longer simply to detect obstacles, but to give visually impaired users richer information about their surroundings.
There is, however, a bigger challenge ahead: moving from promising prototypes to products that are rigorously tested, certified, affordable and available to the people who need them.
Khalifa Aminu's story is therefore about more than one invention.
It is about Nigerian ingenuity, self-education, perseverance and what young people can create when they are given the opportunity and resources to develop their ideas.
Nigeria needs more stories like this.
@inventorkhalifa
Watch this video and let the world see the level of atrocities and brutality that is been perpetuated by the Fulani Jihadist terrorist in Nigeria. The killing has become normalized&is every day occurrence&you tell me that the government is not complicit?
So Lagos State University (Lasu) refused to graduate over 100 students because a nonchalant lecturer forgot to upload their results since 300 level
When they complained, the HOD told them to trust the process.
Now they are having extra year not becaue they failed, but because a lecturer failed to do his job and the school is looking to make extra money from tuition.
The students are heartbroken
