Two people who don't have any power wrote their names on a bit of paper.
I'm sure it was lovely for them. But it has absolutely zero legal effect or implication whatsoever.
A little while ago someone doubted the consequences for disabled people.
I suggested they go to Berlin & understand how T4 started.
They said nah!
I wonder if they have learnt anything from history
This is utterly disgusting and the man and woman grabbing the lady's face and hair should be arrested for assault.
As Farage chuckles away — see my pinned post.
It's time to call the last lap on greyhound racing.
Over 31,000 greyhounds were injured between 2017 and 2024, with thousands more put down.
We are a nation of animal lovers.
It's time to follow Scotland and Wales' lead and end this cruel sport for good.
The Mail (which backed Hitler) now siding with Argentina in latest attempt to burst Burnham bubble …. Kemi would do better to stand up for Britain not play U.K. opponents’ game for them.
Meanwhile BBC online main political headline today - Reform promises (sic) on tax. Never mind news values gone wrong. Values full stop.
Nigel Farage has just threatened to abolish the House of Lords, restrict the power of courts and remove members of the Civil Service if anyone stands in his way of doing whatever he wants should he become Prime Minister
Sounds eerily similar to a certain regime in the 1930s…
But the turkeys will continue to vote for Christmas
This was one of the polls commissioned by JL Partners.
This was despite other polls showing overwhelming support for a Palestinian state.
An investigation into this particular poll would be welcome
"The people doing the filming.. were founded by.. the centre for climate reporting"
So the BBC is going to start highlighting the origin of all news reports? The next time you cover a story in the Daily Mail you'll point out its owned by a billionaire tax avoider, will you?
Robert Jenrick just announced that Nigel Farage has “signed a landmark agreement with France.”
France didn’t sign anything. Macron didn’t sign anything. The French government didn’t sign anything.
Two opposition politicians held up a piece of paper at a conference and called it a treaty.
That’s not a deal. That’s LARPing as a government.
Jenrick knows this. He’s not stupid. He’s just counting on you being stupid enough to clap.
If this is the “game changer,” the game was already over.
On Gaza, you’d think this articulate, intelligent individual from a widely respected organisation would be an interesting talking head for the BBC to platform from time to time, but, oddly enough, I never see her.
This is Curtis Yarvin. The so-called philosopher of the ‘dark enlightenment’ & acolyte of Peter Thiel coming at me for writing about Jason Arday.
And here he is with Nathan Cofnas, the man who framed the UK media’s coverage of Arday. Can you see him now?
Disabled people are routinely having to use PIP to cover the shortfall in rent because private rentals are not fully covered by the Housing Element of UC because they're set at social housing rates which are considerably lower.
Disabled people routinely have to pay for health & social care because of cuts.
Nigel Farage in a nutshell.
This morning on LBC, he repeatedly told Nick Ferrari that the undercover reporters caught out a 'couple of contractors'.
By which he was referring to his Head of Policy, James Orr and his Chief of Staff, Dan Jukes.
The image below is of Jukes sitting, where he has resided for years, on the shoulder of Nigel Farage — this time in the US Congress.
Dan Jukes has, in no way, been stood down from his role as Farage's closest confident, advisor and ally.
Jukes joined Farage way back in 2014 when he was only 18, as part of UKIP's Youth Wing [a bit fascisty!] and is STILL co-director of Farage Media Ltd alongside his boss.
Farage's clearly legally prepped interview this morning is trying to paint these two senior Reform UK members as cheeky little scamps that got into a bit of bother, not the architects of corruption that the videos seem to show.
Dan Jukes has been moved to the shadows exactly like another youngster groomed through the UKIP stables — George Cottrell.
You don't take a 'contractor' to be your closest ally in the US Congress.
Ten newspaper covers. Not one front page leading story or headline about the Reform scandal. It broke long before they went to print. Nobody touched it.
If it was the leader of any other political party they’d have been all over it.
But yeah, “the press is out to get Farage”.
Reform'ssacking of Dan Jukes and James Orr has been quite clever as it's diverted most of the media attention onto what the two advisers said on the C4News film, and diverted people from how Farage was deeply implicated by the video as well. The BBC fell for this especially.
Memo to Cambridge University. It is important that you operate according to principle not scale of media furore. The right wing press will do all they can to play down your role in the life and times of James Orr so you may not feel the heat you did recently over a far better man. But may I suggest that you ask yourself some very hard questions about how Orr’s activities in politics sit with your approach to ethics and divinity. Ps values matter and you need to pay proper attention to this. You and Oxford have been for some time pressing me to leave my original Downing St diaries to you. Recent events definitely give the edge to the @bodleianlibs
"There were many golden Saturdays where we would picnic. I remember particularly a day in Highgate Woods - if you had been there, you would have seen two little boys very content, lying one each side of a large stone slab, racing caterpillars." ~A.A.Milne #Saturday
