๐ Quiet Time with Zie
A few days ago, I watched a movie starring Tony Umez.
In the movie, Tony played a man who had already died, yet he appeared to be living a normal life. He had a girlfriend, a home, and even a maid. At one point, the maid mysteriously vanished in front of the girlfriend's friend, revealing that she too was dead.
Despite the warning, the girlfriend brushed it aside. Wedding plans continued, and she was already pregnant.
On the day of the introduction, however, the people who claimed to be Tony's family vanished before the eyes of the girlfriend's mother. The father also remarked that Tony's handsโand even the atmosphere around himโfelt unusually cold. Alarmed, they advised their daughter to postpone the wedding until they could understand what was truly happening.
Stories like this remind me of other accounts people have shared over the yearsโstories of individuals who were later discovered to have died long before after starting families of their own, or of people who supposedly appeared to loved ones with one final message before news of their death arrived.
Whether these stories are true, exaggerated, or simply folklore, they always leave me with one question:
What really happens when we die?
As Christians, many of us were taught that after death comes judgment. So when stories like these surface, they naturally raise questions. Were these simply fictional stories? Were they unexplained experiences? Or is there something about death that we simply cannot fully understand from this side of eternity?
I don't claim to have the answers.
I just find myself wondering.
Have you ever experiencedโor heard a story like this?
I'd love to hear your thoughts in the comments.
Until next time...
Take your time. Read. Reflect. ๐โจ
