Isaac's level of Overwatch and observing knowledge are unprecedented.

A massive loss to all OWCS broadcasts. However, from having some info into what the 'offers' were to Observers...this makes sense.

Shitty to see people who have put so much into their craft get pushed out.

Tough decision, but I've declined the OWCS observer offer. Loved the past 4 years elevating Overwatch esports & helping it grow, even during tough times. Here's hoping for future changes that allow me to return. Best of luck to whoever observes OWCS next!

@Mermage_ Most of actual event planning I DID learn from running my own Esport club through Tespa at the time and putting together events.

However, part of that is a lot of connections, networking, etc with third parties as well as cost/benefit analysis. All which thankfully I learned.

My 2 cents? Get a Business degree. Everything I learned in College is still applicable today in every single area I've worked in.

Esports. Project Management. Operations. Event Planning. Writing. Game Dev.

Ya'll remember in 2021 when OWL laid off the majority of the OWL Obs team a week before season start. Only to then have their manager reach back out to them and offer them contract work for less pay and benefits?

And even then, they all still came back with love for it.

Activision Blizzard Esports just released massive talent out into the ecosystem.

Get these people employed asap. They'll take your broadcast from good to great. Guaranteed.

End of an era. These teams brought so many incredible aspects to the FPS broadcast world, and they were incredibly passionate day in and day out.

It's so sad to see them laid off like this. There is no Overwatch or Call of Duty Esports without these incredible people. Tags below

I don't even have the words to express how angry I am right now.

The observer teams for both OWL and CDL did so much behind the scenes for their leagues, their esports, and their games that many people won't ever know.
