But, a simple comparison of the definitions easily squashes this attempt.

"Merge": To merge means to combine or blend two or more distinct things into a single, unified whole.

"Integrate": To combine parts into a whole, to mix people together without separation.

Silver Star–decorated Marine Staff Sergeant Bryce Lockwood, one of the last living USS Liberty survivors, is warning that the new NDAA crosses a dangerous line. Section 219. The U.S.–Israel Defense Technology Cooperation Initiative would fuse American military technology, research, and supply chains with Israel’s.

Sgt. Lockwood warns that it is not normal alliance coordination. It is “surrendering the United States military to the government of Israel.” For a veteran who already lived through one deadly ally betrayal, this looks like Washington is trying to lock in another one through permanent law.

While researching Section 219 of the U.S./Israel/military/tech integration for a video, I stumbled across a fascinating and strangely familiar collection of documents from the 1980s... the real Star Wars prequel, as it turns out, lives in a Reagan Library dossier.

It’s mostly a collection of clippings, documenting Israel’s entry into Reagan’s Strategic Defense Initiative(SDI) through joint research, missile-defense contracts, and tours of Israeli defense companies. While mockingly referred to by media as the “Star Wars project”, the parallels with today are difficult to miss.

It even features a special shout-out to Israel’s [then] Minister of defense, Yitzhak Rabin, who has since become a muse for Tel Aviv’s [current] Sith Lord, Benjamin Netanyahu & inspired the name behind Larry Ellison’s cat, Yitzhak.

Which seems healthy.
