@SamCRichard Hi. We do not have a drug ready for human use yet. But the goal is to help those with oca1b. We are developing better drugs for this purpose.
Melanin pigmentation of the skin and eyes has an essential role in the development of visual acuity and in preventing skin cancer risk. Inflammatory disorders of skin can cause significant depigmentation.
Thus, we have identified a new therapeutic approach for the treatment of diseases of hypopigmentation including OCA. In addition, we highlight how our LCMS tyrosine tracing technique can be used for in cell drug screening with changes in TYR activity seen in just 20 minutes
@WCMEnglanderIPM@PASPCR1 It’s a fantastic conference for those interested in melanocyte biology. Early bird deadline and abstract submission ends July 20th!!
We are pleased to support selected trainees and young investigators through travel awards in the amount of $1,000. A subcategory for DEI travel awards has been established through the generous donation from L’Oreal.
Looking forward to seeing everyone this fall!
Fantastic Meeting in NYC. The PASPCR Annual Meeting showcases the current research in melanocytes, melanoma, melanin and disorders of pigmentation, and we invite you to submit abstracts for the conference being held September 9-12, 2024, in New York, NY, and also online.
Excited to announce our new publication further detailing new mechanistic insights into cAMP-dependent regulation of melanosomal pH and pigmentation. Congrats to Dalee and Zuhal for leading this work. @PCMR_Wiley https://t.co/FU1jV7Ijaj
