We were attacked by a group of masked Israeli settlers, a 70 year old Palestinian man was hospitalised, and I was repeatedly kicked in the face. Here is how it happened.
We arrived in the Palestinian village Hamamat al-Malih in the Jordan Valley, which was repeatedly targeted by severe settler attacks in the past week. In fact, just the day before, the settlers smashed the cameras, solar panels and windows in the remaining Palestinian houses.
When we arrived in the evening, we found Abu Raed,a 70 year old Palestinian man, injured and barely standing. He told us that two hours before, the settlers stormed the village, found Abu Raed there alone, and attacked him, beating and kicking him while we was laying down.
Less than an hour later, the the settlers came back, masked, armed with rocks, knives and sticks. They smashed the windows of our car and cut all the tires, and then ran after us. We batricaded ourselves inside the house, but the settlers broke through the door and beat me, Abu Raed, and another 70 year old, a solidarity activist, kicking and punching us repeatedly as we were laying on the ground.
I was lucky, because they punched me in the face before kicking me in the face, and knocked off my glasses, otherwise I could have lost my eye. They continued kicking us as we were on the ground, stole my phone to get rid of the footage, and left.
We called other activists, who called the police and an ambulance, and we hid nearby, in case the settlers came back. And the settlers did come back, no longer masked, at around the same time as the police.
But the police said that there is no evidence that it's the same settlers and that we should "go file a complaint". Compare this to the mass arrests of Palestinians, on no evidence except the word of a settler.
An Israeli ambulance arrived and at first refused to treat Abu Raed, saying "he is Arab, what can we do", but eventually agreed to take him away to pass him to a Palestinian ambulance. He is more or less ok, and was discharged this morning.
Attacks like this happen in the West Bank on a daily basis since the start of the Iran war.
Please don't let Sudan be just a temporary trend.
Don't forget our brothers and sisters in Sudan. Keep them in your dua this Ramadan and speak up for them.
The RSF is still active there. Stage 5 famine is still occurring. Children are still dying.
“The problem is not Netanyahu.”
“The problem is the whole of Israeli society.”
“About 70–75% of Israelis say there are no innocents in Gaza.”
“No innocents — in a land of children.”
“Israel kills children as a hobby.
“As a hobby.”
—Professor Norman Finkelstein
Beyond insulting. Muslims in Palestine are constantly terrorized during Ramadan and the Israeli government and settlers do everything in their power to erase Islamic culture and practices. This is pure fascistic showboating.
Quadcopters playing the sounds of children screaming for help and then murdering those who came to assist.....
Read that again.
Israel is demonic beyond comprehension
Contacts in Gaza are all reporting the same thing tonight: Israeli air strikes have resumed at what feels like full force across the strip. The only reason anyone is still calling this a ceasefire is because not a single shot is being fired at Israel.

This woman speaks the truth. Every single Hijabi on the @gbsumudflotilla either had their hijabs ripped off or fought hard to keep them on. I was strip searched in full view of everyone at Ashdod Port when I was arrested. I was also slapped around the head - those who abused us are savages & far worse than the Taliban who held me captive in 2001. Just when I thought they couldn’t get any worse they did. They threatened to gas one of our Jewish members and both men and women prison guards mocked and ridiculed a breast cancer survivor. Seriously, what sort of Israeli woman would do that? The Israelis are a people devoid of humanity. Did they really think we would remain silent about their brutality?
One of the soldiers freed in the recent prisoner exchange posted a training-ground video of himself shooting at a picture of Sinwar.
He had a chance to fire on Sinwar’s men on October 7, but he ran, had to be chased down, and was captured. These vermin only find their “toughness” when they’re shooting at unarmed civilians or at a photo that can’t shoot back.
One-month-old Habiba Abu Radwan has a fast-growing blood cyst that threatens her life. No treatment is available in Gaza. She urgently needs to travel for life-saving surgery… every minute counts.
