This story is bigger than a book simply being cancelled.
Penguin Random House pulled Alana Hadid and Jenan Matari’s book about the Palestinian experience after clashing with them over how to tell Palestine’s story.
Apparently, even a children’s book about Palestine needs a disclaimer making sure everyone knows October 7 was illegal, while the Nakba, occupation and decades of dispossession are up for editorial debate.
Alana and Jenin eventually walked away rather than publish a version they couldn’t stand behind.
Imagine having to fight a publisher just to tell your own people’s story.
Thankfully, Palestinian-owned Interlink Books will publish it in 2027.

JUSTICE FOR TASIA FORTUNE 🕊️
A 29-year-old mother of four, Tasia Fortune, was found hanging from a tree behind an apparently vacant home in Jackson, Mississippi, on August 3, 2026.
Her death has devastated her family and raised serious questions about the circumstances surrounding her final moments.
📌 LATEST UPDATE: As of September 28, three men had been arrested and charged with murder in connection with her death. The charges are allegations, and the legal process is ongoing.
Four children have lost their mother. 💔🕊️
May Tasia Fortune be remembered, and may her family receive answers and justice.
🙏🏽 Keep her loved ones in your prayers.

The Cornell rapists are not "young men with bright futures who made a mistake."
They are the next generation of wealthy, privileged men being taught that their money and status mean they won't have to answer for their actions.
defending the cornell 7 is partly strategic for rape apologists. it's such an obviously violent and brutal case—if they can successfully argue it wasn't "actually" rape, it has a quieting effect on people in the general population who feel their stories aren't as bad
Cornell isn't banning frat parties because of Jane Doe's allegations. They are banning frat parties because of the bad press and public response. There's a difference.
The Cornell 7 texted “free p*ssy” to 57 men.
They sent a naked picture Jane Doe to the frat and told them the “shop was still open”.
One reply said “I hope it’s not a fatty AGAIN”.
These messages prove lack of consent.
They also strongly suggest this was not their first rape.
The latest scandal in Israel is a parliament candidate who once "promoted a charity that helped Gaza children"
The candidate responded with a video saying he only did it for propaganda to whitewash Israel's image
Helping Gazan children is political suicide in Israel today!
while we discuss the daily drama that elons algo is dangling in front of us, israel is still carrying out these massacres with the weapons the west sends them every single day. the only people punished so far are those who speak out against these crimes.
A horrific scene. Israel has just carried out a terror strike on an apartment in Gaza City, killing at least one woman.
Neighbors rushed to the scene as flames engulfed the apartment. They heard a little girl screaming. She was rescued.
Listening to her cries shattered me into pieces.
Do you know when israel launched this terror strike? At 4 in the morning today in Gaza local time.
Stop Israel’s terrorism.

🚨HORRIBLE: A Palestinian mother, Reem Awad, was reportedly burned alive by Israeli forces in Gaza at dawn today, in front of her daughter.
May she rest in peace.
Jean Noël Barrot parlait d'un "cessez-le-feu certes imparfait mais qui a le mérite d'exister".
Mesurez l'ignominie et l'indécence de cette déclaration à l'aune de ces images.
BREAKING | Three-year-old Maryam Ahmed Ghanem was asleep when an Israeli occupation strike hit her family’s apartment near the Abu Talal junction in Al-Rimal, west Gaza City, at around 4am on Wednesday. Journalist Ali Al-Jaafarawi ran to the building after hearing the blast. When he climbed up to the burning apartment, the first thing he found was Maryam, crying in the middle of the flames, with the fire and smoke too thick for anyone to reach her. He went in anyway, carried her out and handed her to people waiting to rush her to hospital. When he went back inside to look for others, the smoke overwhelmed him and he lost consciousness, but not before he saw a woman burning inside the apartment
.That woman was Maryam’s mother, in her thirties, killed in the strike. Her father was killed at the start of the genocide. Maryam survived the fire, and she is now an orphan. Others in the apartment, including children, were wounded, and civil defence crews struggled to evacuate them, all of it a year into a ceasefire that was supposed to stop exactly this.

🚨BREAKING: A Palestinian girl miraculously survives an Israeli army airstrike on a residential apartment in the Al-Rimal neighborhood, west of Gaza City, at dawn today.
The Israeli strike killed Palestinian woman Reem Awad and injured several others.
Can you hear the children crying?
The only reason anyone would still be talking about Jewish fear, Jewish feelings, or Jewish trauma is because you don’t see our babies as worthy of life.
