We know that these patients clinically present like the familial form of HLH and have shown that their proteom is very similar, so they definitely share a terminal immunologic mechanism.

We are investigating malignancies presenting with "hyperinflammation": fever, blood cytopenia, splenomegaly, and elevated markers of inflammation. We see that these patients have significantly inferior outcomes than the "non inflamed" patients.
