@JaseInAmerica1 In Europe, they don’t have tumble dryers, meaning the excess water fills at the bottom and you have to drain it. Drying clothes takes forever. Try a tumble dryer and you’ll see the light.
@BetsyGolden16@libsoftiktok We lived near Huntingdon 10 years ago, still nice. High Street stores just starting to close down. We visited the “zoo,” before all the enclosure improvements, several times. Out in the countryside and fun for the kids. Awful.
@TheBritLad It’s a cafe/farm shop with animals for the kids to see. Off the beaten track. A 30-yo man there would have stood out, like a rando guy at a playground.
@JamesPGoddard90 I’ve been there a few times. Good cafe food, plus fun to see the kids enjoying the animals. Shame another low-key family experience ruined.
@faustocoppi60@urskazigart If she were my daughter—don’t risk your life for our entertainment. Get married, have lots of little Pogi babies, and enjoy your life instead.
@JimmyEastwood2 Lived in UK a few years ago. Paying to park everywhere, even at grocery stores and hospitals, was hard to get used to. But your veg, cakes, and houloumi--delicious!
@LeGruppetto I hope Mr Slock has a thin skin or a sense of humor--his slide over the line will be a meme forever. A worry-wort, I'm always stressed out when a cyclist celebrates before the line, and this time the fears came true. Confirmed he really won, UCI not coming back to change result?
@end3of6days9 We traveled via the Auto Train 50 years ago when we moved to FLA and my mom was scared of driving 95. Didn't know the train was still operating!
@lequipe Mad at PS for taking unnecessary risks yesterday (ruining "my" race experience), but mostly at his family and team for allowing him to start today. He's technically an adult, but any parent knows teens are dumb and don't make wise choices.
@SketchesbyBoze Newberry winners before 2000, particularly The Bronze Bow and From the Mixed Up Files..., Escape from Warsaw (Silver Sword), Endless Steppe.
@TheAliceSmith My lefty daughter, in a very lefty city and state, just started a private therapy practice. She has to pay her own insurance, both halves of SS and Medicare, and negotiate bureaucracy and ridiculous tax laws. Will her eyes be opened?
@Domestique___ What if his bike had been up in the tree too--how long before anyone noticed he wasn't on the course anymore? Was it a teammate or another cyclist who noticed the bike on the side of the road?
@heidiklessigmd Just renewed my drivers license. No, I don’t want to be an organ donor. And I definitely didn’t sign up for organ donation previously, so why was I asked to “renew” my organ donation based on my expired license?
@MarkSKrikorian We could just ban all female visitors between 10 and 50. Maybe males that age too, because these days, who knows. Maybe just ban everyone of all ages to be sure.
@BenjiNaesen We got a lot more drama from the TT than expected. Plus, the Seixas coronation has been delayed. Could we see more surprises in the next few days?
@CyclingWerewolf@vismaleaseabike Jorgenson might be feeling a bit of schadenfreude with Vauquelin's TTT fit after KV mishandled his bike at Amstel and caused Jorgenson's broken collarbone.
