From my perspective, he has everything in order to become one of the best IGLs. Just some time in tier 1, more predictabiliy and he will shine like noone before. Caide it was ONLY pleasure to work with you. You have insanely creative and hard working brain and beatiful mindset 💛
Now that my first year in tier 1 is over I just wanted to say thank you to @NAVIValorant for taking a chance on me. This year was wild coming from NA tier 2 to fly overseas within 10 days notice and dropping out of school was a big decision for me. With that being said I think it was 100% worth it. Shoutout all of my teammates for trying their best given the circumstances we were given. Excited for next year🤙
Esports players retire at 22–25. Traditional athletes at 35–38.
Some of that is the game.
A lot of it is what 14-hour days and no real off-season does to a person across a career.
We can build this differently.
Every sport has isolated drills. Just an example: when I was around basketball teams, playing 5v5 was the last option. We ran shooting form and footwork reps, 2v1s and 3v2 reads, pick-and-roll after pick-and-roll, closeouts, defensive slides, suicides for conditioning. A hundred reps each before anyone even scrimmaged.
League has one training mode: 5v5 scrims. That's it. The whole middle layer of practice just doesn't exist. (And the practice tool is a joke, sorry. Not even close to the level it should be with the tech that exists right now.)
Wanna drill a specific dive or a 3v3 skirmish? U wait for it to happen in a scrim. Maybe twice a day.
Good example is Rocket League, who fixed this in 2016. Custom training: build the exact scenario, run it 50 times in 10 mins, share it with a code.
And it doesn't even need to be a static replay.
The upgrade is the enemy reacting differently every rep, so the player builds a read, not a memorized sequence. Not perfect AI, A reactive bot inside a bounded situation. The tech is here.
So here's what's missing: a tool to drill dives, skirmishes and setups against a reactive opponent. Reps on demand, not once a scrim.
Other competitive titles has a version of this, League should have the best one.
I f***ing did it! I am (half) IRONMAN!
