@nerd_cookies Read Project Hail Mary last year & really enjoyed it. Yes, some jokes felt grating in their 2020meme-ness and may age poorly... but to dismiss the whole book on that basis is simply pointless and reductive. Most SF books care nothing about prose - at least Weir is having fun.

@TigerDropCS @JoshStrifeHayes Read my comment again to find that: 1/I'm talking about the specific group of people Josh was talking about, not all PVP players. 2/I'm blaming gaming as medium that accentuates such problems, not the people 3/My comment may be more tongue in cheek than you think. So relax.

@OneDay_Doc @JoshStrifeHayes My point is that gaming as a medium accentuates the unhealthy aspects of competition. If you grind competitive games with toxic communities & develop your dopamine addiction to feeling superior to others, you re more likely to become a prick than, say, occasional sports players.

@nuhre_ I disagree, the game forcing me to have horns if evil, be old if I'm a wizard etc felt frustrating to me. I'd rather it be a choice, or more subdued like in Fable 2.
Reputation shouldnt be fully region locked tho. Maybe just reduced between neighbouring areas.
